North won by about 2 goals after kicking the last 4 goals of the game late in the last 1/4, although it was very close all day

Amazing, South are second on the ladder (for now anyway. They'll drop to 3rd regardless of tomorrow's result between Central and Glenelg - either the DOggies or the Bays will be top 2 at the end of the round), yet the Panthers have the second-worst % in the comp, and only marginally ahead of Westies. Wonder if that's ever happened this far into a season, virtually 1/3rd of the way thru - 2nd ranked team has the 2nd worst percentage.

I know that no-one has ever had that low of a percentage to be 2nd, so your question would almost certainly be correct.

Not unless the Bay oval match is a draw. ;) Not that's a reliable outcome, so South will have just missed out on the record for the lowest percentage sitting third on the ladder.

West in Round 5 1908 had a % of 42.0904. The percentage South has at the moment is 42.0951. West in the first four rounds of 1908 had the following scores:

Rd 1: 5.6 vs North 3.10 - won by 8
Rd 2: 1.7 vs Port 15.11 - lost by 88
Rd 3: Bye
Rd 4: 5.11 vs Norwood 4.7 - won by 10
Rd 5: 8.11 vs Torrens 6.9 - won by 14

Absolutely piss weak effort. A white flag job. The bye has come at a good time.

North far too good. Ran harder and their skills were far superior. Ryswyk always destroys us. When will we learn?

Better players I thought (and i use the term loosely) were Elliott, Handby, Ellis and Boyd.

Oh, and well done to the score board attendant who keep the smallish crowd well informed with the happenings at the other grounds. Very unprofessional North Adelaide  Bit like South's footy.
