The only reason anyone would pick against Sturt is because of the last 13 meetings. We are in 2008 now, not 2003, 04, 05, 06 or 07.

There's a carpark opposite the Brickworks entrance. About $5 IIRC, otherwise, street parking is OK (more so on the City side of South Road) if you don't mind a little stroll...

Eagles will play in West Torrens 1980's era jumpers -- blue with gold sash -- which will be auctioned off on eBay later.

Wouldn't mind putting in a bid for one of those.

WoodWT hope the woodville one looks better from a far than last years .By the end of the game it looked like hawthorns jumper.
And I am not bagging Woodville I dreaded that West Toorens jumper from the 70's last year and true to form we lost in it.
Hopefully its the Eagles circa Kerly then we may well win !!! OMENS people just thinking Omens

Not sure how WWT will win this one .There were signs against west of the game WWT like to play .But with the flood it was very hard to paly in that style.
I will be sitting with my fingers crossed .
Will Coleville come back in ?
Will Twomey get called up ?

Cheers

I thought Twomey looked very slow and unfit on Saturday. Hopefully will benefit from a couple more games in the reserves. I only saw the last half and not too many Eagles ressies players will be putting their hand up for selection this week. Mackie looked pretty good and the tall Redden showed some promise at Full Forward, but besides that they were pretty ordinary.

Pending AFL call ups I would go with an unchanged side, although I'd consider Hier to play on Chambers as he's done a pretty good job in the past. McEntee and Schwarze to take Herring and Perrie. McKenzie the saviour should any of those get on top.

It should be a great game and the result will probably give a fair indication where both sides are at. How much of a factor was Thomson in Sturt's early season form? He looks good enough to play the rest of the season with the Power. Sturt might get back Pearce?

You are right about Twomey Aerie. I forgot about Heir
Young Redden has improved greatly since the Glenelg game .Big red looks like he has done some great work with the Eagles ruckman this year.
Pitty that you take certain league players out of the seconds and its the same old eagles seconds :( .No matter who is coaching them .
Having said the above the youngsters who have been promoted are playing great footy :D
Was not impressed with Jacky yesterday .Did notice he was benched late in the game for pushing a westies backman in the back while taking a mark .But that would be about par for the course with players dropped from the crows side going on previous history with other crows players.Did the Eagles lose much from the players who where dropped compared to Jacky?
Paul Stewart what a different player he is this year looked great off a wing yesterday and kicked 2 goals as well.

Cheers

The eagles are our bogey side and have been since they merged ( even though some other teams may seem to think that they have our measure ) we just cant ever seem to beat them !!!

So a win aganst the hybrids would be fantastic against them this week !!!
