I'm glad a nuetral supporter said it1980 Tassie Medalist wrote:Bull s***t frees? pfft didn't look bull s***t on TV and why wasn't Slade penalised for calling the boundary umpire a f***ing cheat twice (once you'd let go but twice??? especially when it was so audible it wasn't funny) when he tried a blind turn to keep the ball in play.
If the umpire had clamped down on Slade then maybe he would have kept his mouth shut in the 3rd qtr when he gave away the two 25 m penalties....
Also in the last qtr when Gowan got the free kick and 25 m when Allaway came in late why wasn't it reversed when Faulkner charged Allaway???
After the goal from the two 50 s in the 3rd qtr the free kick count was 16 - 14 Centrals way so its not like North were getting a ride![]()

True, but watching the game at home with a few quiet West Ends nothing untoward about the umpiring IMO...

Ha - you were pi55ed!
Seriously, I thought the umpires were OK. A few decisions were a little confusing, but take out the fact I was at the game and perhaps a couple (or more) metres from the umpire, he may have seen some things better than I. A couple of replays still looked dodgy but I'm sure North supporters will say the same - all square at the end of the day.

In the end a good game of footy, the best side on the day won, only low point was the comment made to an active soldier wearing his medals, he was asked something along the lines of was he proud of the killing of inocent people to get the medals, very poor form any day, on ANZAC day it was just plain disgraceful.
