Ive been following SANFL football for a long time
Theres something that I cant work out
West Adelaide has posted these scores in thier 3 games[and losses]
9-11 v norwood
9-7 v south
9-13 v glenelg

= 999 every game

Now if they had a full forward to aim at instead of being the fool back .....
Surely one of my favourite SANFL players Damien Cupido must play forward
A potential 50-100 goal forward playing fool back is wasted ?
And yes he has played good footy at fool back but at what cost to the team ?

Time to attack ?

Cupido has been one of our good players so far
Played half a 1/4 last week down forward

absolutely mal, cupido kicked 55 goals (from memory) when he had his year at noarlunga & yes he has been playing very well this year but having 30-40 'touches' in the back pocket hardly hurts the opposition, but if he had 15-20 touches' in a forward line & kicked 6 -8 goals he'd be doing a great job for his side on the scoreboard & hurting the opposition

But the problem is if he wasnt there how much would they get beaten by ? He is obviously plugging holes , he may not get an opportunity if in the forward lines.There is a lot to consider when you dont have much depth , quality and experience. You have to consider confidence etc . Do you lose by 5 goals or 15 ? I dont envy Collins position but I think he has been in this situation before and turned things around very quickly. If West improve in a year or 2 and Cupido is still playing I bet he aint playing in the backlines !!

Hoping he can bring some brute beastly force and get their players to produce a devil of an attacking game.

Im all for this, especially as Ive now picked them to win in the punting comp.

Why would you play the pie man down back (Cupido) on his day he is a 7 to 9 goal FF, at the moment that is about what the side is kicking, even if you play him on a flank he will kick 3 or 4 which may get a win. At the moment can't see a win in the near future for the blood & Tars

They are in the final 5 ... !!!

At least they are having a dip as they lead at 1/4 time in thier games.

My advice is when the skipper wins the toss he points one way and when Damian is not looking point the other way, DC will end up where he belongs.
