Our last 3 games have been big challenge's and full of expectation, so again I'll be looking forward to this week being our biggest challenge so far, this WILL be a really hard, tough game of footy and probably with a fair bit of spite thrown in. I can't wait for it.
IF THERE ISN'T 5000 PLUS AT THIS GAME THEN IT'S A DISGRACE!
Get to Unley, bring your friends, family and distant relatives!

Glenelg are easily the best, most well-drilled side the Double Blues have played in 2008.

We are fitter, faster, stronger and more skilful.

Sturt by 39 points :D :D :D

I wish I could say with confidence that we would deliver for you Drebin but having seen Sturt over the last two weeks they will start deserved favourites and all thing being equal you would expect them to win.

Back on topic. I think what Sturt Peter means is that the Tigers pushed us the hardest, regardless of whether it was a trial or not.
I think the brainstrust at Unley is preparing for a tough hit out with the Bays. Mickan had them playing a great brand at the end of last year, and if they pull everything together on the day are very capable of knocking the Blues over. Sturt's early season form against sides that haven't really begun to play yet may be the same formula that got the Panthers their first three wins. Once these sides begin to put in it is a whole different ball game and the Tigers are a very good outfit.
Having said that though I reckon Sturt should win.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Gotta admire your passion for the Double Blues Sturt Peter! Keep it up fella!

As for the comment about us fading come finals time, I can't see that happening to us this year Tiger 79.

We've topped up our list and now have a host of young, talented players who, come September, will have a couple of full seasons under their belts. Come the first week, you'll be playing off in another Elimination final while we'll be playing off for a spot in the big one...

sturt have been awseome to say the least, this game is gonna be a barometer on how the bays are heading after the shite against south and reasonable efforts at home, if we come out and produce the same first half as yesterday we will be 10 goals down at the main break. having said that though this has the potential to be a cracker

I think it will be highly appropriate if the most professional of organisations, the SANFL Umpires Association, appoint Colin Rowston to this game.....

stop stirring them tassie  , i heard sp on 5rph this morning & he already is using his (colin rowston & others) umpiring this week as an excuse incase they lose, i've been to 9 games this year & the umpiring has not made one bit of difference to the results of the games i've witnessed yes they've made a couple of mistakes but nothing to worry about infact the players have made more mistakes than the umpires have.

for me if glenelg win we were the better side on the day & if sturt win they will be the better side on the day, i wont lower myself & blame umpires because over the course of a game it evens out

While I'll agree with you drebin about some of SP's postings surely if you had a choice of moronic ramblings from the 08 Premiers' supporters on this forum you wouldn't choose Glenelg's would you??? You, me, everyone would be Glenelg's bitches! :D

I think the rules are that you have to win twice to break a bitch run and three times to create one.
