Due to the u16 state championship being held on AFL GF day, the SANFL decided to have the 17s play today.

At Woodville Eagles played and defeated Port.

Eagles 6.4 9.7 12.10 17.17.119
Port 1.3 5.4 6.6 7.6.48

no fade out today like Saturday at Alberton.

Can someone post the results of the other 3 games please.

Eagles had only a couple of players who had played 10+ games at U/17 level too. Not really the greatest match to watch given the skill errors of both sides, particularly for Port when they were streaming forward with no real strong forward to aim at. Deserving win for W/WT, they looked good in their game on Saturday, with the Magpies' third quarter the difference before rain hit in the final quarter and that slowed the game right down.

MightyEagles .... were you the guy who took on/off the padding from the match today? I'll come introduce myself next time I see you if that's the case. :)

Ahh heaps cool! I've seen you many times before then, at the cricket as well. Once on the bus too. Good to see you helping out at underage level. :D

Round 5 today:

Glenelg 4.1 10.2 14.8 20.9 (129)
West 3.3 3.9 7.11 14.13 (97)

Exciting last quarter with 13 goals kicked but Glenelg was never headed. West wasted a lot of opportunities, kicking six behinds without a goal, including a miss from five metres out directly in front just before half time.
