The new West Adelaide scoreboard

Well they got it going yesterday and it looks great IMO. Although the numbers look a bit distorted in the photo. I had a bit of a walk around the ground and i could see it clearly from every angle. Apparantly there will be a marquee of other game scores running from right to left beneath the visitors scores. Thanks to Wedgie for the photo.

I just asked that very question in the BBQ topic, where were the around the grounds scores? Now I have an answer.

lol it does look a bit weird doesn't it. Perhaps something like W.A. or W.Adel. would have looked better when you're cramped for space, but ah well. If it works, woohoo!

I hope they are going to respect the level of the SANFL competition by actually having the name of the visiting team, give the total of the score and the around the ground scores.

Despite it may be electrified looks amateurish/countryish with visitors and only goals and points.

Okay now i see with goals, behinds, points. Was confused by the unique score of 12 behinds 8 pts.

The white part at the top will have our sponsor's name and the strip at the bottom will have a moving print scroll with scores from other grounds and other info.

I thought it looked great and more importantly, it worked perfectly all day for the scores and the time.

I'm sure it must look great in the flesh, so to speak, but is that how scores look in all photo's ? Might be a bit disappointing for the people that like to collect photo's of scoreboards showing the final scores...and I know there are a few out there

Okay fair enough but really hope you get rid of visitors as that is, IMO, beneath the professionalism required for a State League competition club.

I mean how hard is it to put two nails above the Visitors sign and then have a printed sign for each of the other eight visiting clubs to hook onto it.

As said in another thread the numbers are fine, its just the camera couldn't pick them up for some reason, perhaps everyone that wasn't at the game should perhaps see it in the flesh before criticism, I was amazed at how easy to read and bright it was despite having the sun shine directly on it.
