From the 2 games and the players gone have we seen the end of a competiive era of the Eagles ? If they do fail to make the 5 will that mean bye bye Ronnie. I hear i hope so from some Eagles supporters.

very early to write anyone off but there were some worrying signs of players not doing the team stuff today...very unlike the Eagles of recent times

I'd pass judgement once we get Cicolella, Symmons, Passador, Grocke and Colville back in the side. In the games he has played over the past two years, Colville has done a good job at tagging.

Like I said in the match thread, we are badly missing Cica and Symmons - we got smashed in the clearances.

Yes, a lot of key players were out early in the season last year, like this year. Colville only played 4 games last year.

It was interesting to see Jarrad Wright and Nathan Twomey recruited into the Eagles from South Adelaide. Not having watched the Eagles play a game yet I would like to know if Eagle fans think that they have gotten value for money from these two lads?

I think one is injured at the moment, the other hasn't got the chance at League yet.

Both out injured at moment Spelly.

Expect more to choose from this week

Write us off at your peril - but you can only be judged on results and yesterday was very disappointing - congratulations to the Bays - far better than we were.

Precisely - that old saying comes to mind "You are only good as your last game" and this applies to both teams that played at the Bay.

In 2006 we lost to the same two teams in the first 2 rounds, what happened, we went on to win the premiership. Should get Passador back in the League this week.

Eagles desparately need some ball getters and ball carriers. Our recruiting was more orientated towards tall main position players. The smalls we recruited are absolutely useless at the moment. To know that Biagi won a B&F at Casey Scorpions and to see the way he plays with the Eagles makes me wonder about the VFL, Casey Scorpions and our recruiters. Malinovski is everywhere but where the ball is.....just can't get a sniff and Jarrad Wright is out injured for another 6 weeks. Without onballers Cooper, Lomas, Inkster, Cicca, Symmons and Colville we look pretty pathetic. Biagi, Geddes and Malinovski MUST be dropped for this weeks match.

The plan to play McKenzie at CHB all year has collapsed already as he has to support our onballers each week. His move onto the ball left us one tall short in the back lines on Saturday.

Players with grit and grunt such as Grocke, Mackie and Redden MUST be promoted.

Well picked up FERRET.
Two weeks in a row we have seen the ruckmen moved down back to be key position players and for two weeks it has not worked.
These were the best players in the two's
Mark Passador, Joel Mackie, Adam Grocke, Denis Redden, Craig Gogoll,
All should be called up for the league team

You mentioned Geddes why has he been playing down back a back man he is not IMHO.

One more point Mackie was named on the bench in the league side .We all arrived thinking, someone has been dropped from one of the AFL teams .But no instead Malinovski has been promoted and Mackie has been dropped .
What is going on, how could Mackie one of the better young players against North get dropped for Malinovski .I am pretty sure there were other players who could have made way for Malinovski not the hard in and under type that the EAGLES lack at present.

And does anyone know what has happened to Klun .This would be his time to shine IMHO.
