Wow, Dangerfield to make his debut!
And what do you think your final bench will look like?

Will be intereating to see how Westies go for the first time in 08 and to see how Pat Dangerfield will go in his league debut.
I feel like there is a little bit of the unknown with The Bloods and reckon they might go alright. Also, fairly big wraps on the Crows kid... ?
Does anyone know what has happened to fellow Crows recruit Taylor Walker ? Is he injured ? I was a big wrap for the kid after seeing him kick 5 in the reserves last friday night. As expected, Norwood had a few changes to last weeks team and would have thought Walker would have been a good chance to "WALK" (sorry couldn't help myself !!) into the Norwood League team.
From what I can see, he isn't even named in the magoos for the Redlegs ? Has he injured himself with the Crows on the track ? Not sure... ?
Big Phil...

Doesnt matter all 5 on the bench look good
Ezard, very good trial form and no injuries this year, Anderson is a speed machine and will be an impact player, caire was one of our best 5 last year and cant maake the 18, Green is a tough defender who has done very well in the trials and giles is the australian ametuer captain from rostrevor football club , vey small but has a big motor

Walker is injured, no idea what injury it is but nonetheless it will keep him out this week. Very disappointed as he finished the game last week so he probably got injured on the training track which is typical from the Crows (I'm a Crows fan btw).
And thanks for that dash61. Gibson was dropped because he isn't close to being 100% fit.

It'll be very interesting to see how this one develops. Perhaps the thumping the Legs got last week will clear out a few cobwebs and fire them up for this week, but this is West's first hit out for the year and maybe they'll unveil a potential final five outfit to make all others sit up and take notice. Deserving of a big crowd, and just quietly, it would be good to see West get up and win this one and show the beginnings of a revival.

There's 10 new faces in the West line up from last year. So it's going to be interesting to see how the Blood's go. Also from all reports the new electronic scoreboard is up and running as is the best BBQ in the SANFL.
And the canteen under the (now) old scoreboard will be re-opened after a few years in the wilderness..so no more long walks for those on the outer who want some munchies.

Just hope we put up an effort that is worthy, by some of the Norwood posts though we may struggle
QuotesGrandOldFlagI have little confidence after last Friday's game as I have seen that all before and know we will struggle and just get over the line or lose against West.
If we are to go anywhere this year we must smash a team that will be in the bottom two.
Also if Bailey plays well and we lose I will need drugs/therapy/shock treatment etc etc.
redleg85Time to get off the mark with a win this week! Let's show em friday was a bad day at the office with a nice away win v the duds Hope the whole Norwood side show us the same respect and take us easy as we will finish bottom two by all accounts

What west have to do is stop Vlatko & Aish who have hurt westies in the past kicking a few goals

Nothing like being selective Dash, as with all Forum's, one person's opinion is not necessarily that of another ...

Bit hard to smash themselves, I'd have thought...

And here's MY opinion....
Norwood will smash Westies and condemn them to another season of cellar dwelling!
Hope you guys can get over 1000 of your supporters there to create a LITTLE bit of atmosphere!

lol, constance perm u r totally correct, isnt that what reporters do as well, take parts of comments and use it selectively.
It wasnt that easy to find the bad comments either so u r right
Also constance, will be interesting to see the results of the unders 19's, u have ex westies man Milligan at the helm and we struggled badly in all grades last year. At 5.00pm tomorrow it will be interesting what Brodie Atkinson and milligan have brought accross to Norwood's, with their knowledge of westies it surely will give norwood the edge in tomorrows games

Well, a lot of Norwood folk are confident of beating West, and so they should be..they are only playing last years wooden spooners. But should Norwood lose, then it might be interesting to see how Norwood supporters react...it seems some have it in for Hill already.

Huh? If he's not fit why is he playing at all.
IMHO he was dropped to get some confidence back.
