CAN YOU HELP? - Score Updates this Saturday (April 5)

Postby PhilH » Thu Apr 03, 2008 8:03 pm

Hi everyone,

The SANFL announced today that their web site scoreboard will be off this weekend (Rd 2 April 5) for an upgrade.

So looks like its SAfooty.net to the rescue.

What I would like to do is

1) Set up a single thread on game day to post scores from all 4 games. (I will do Sat 1pm)

2) Find someone web listening to Glenelg v Eagles (RPH) and post score updates to the thread

3) Find someone web listening to Sturt v Central (Life) and post score updates to the thread

4) Find someone at Alberton for Port v South who can send regular SMS scores (ie every 5 mins or so)

5) Find someone at Broadspectrum for West v Norwood who can send regular SMS scores (ie every 5 mins or so)

6) Find a person with internet access (& a mobile) to take the SMS's from Alberton & Broadspectrum and post updates on this site

So I need 5 people, can anyone help?

Cheers

If the Legs aren't broadcast I usually try to stay off the online radio so none of the playing teams supporters miss out...but as I'll be looking for score updates to post on the Legs forum I'm happy to give either option 2 or 3 a go if needed...just make allowance for the early start

Phil, I was contemplating going to Unley or Glenelg and take some snaps but am quite willing to stay at home and help out.
As you know I have internet, mobile and mobile internet so Im willing to do whatever I could do that would best help.
Perhaps if you fill a few spots then allocate me what's left.
I could stay at home have the TV and radio's going and post 3 games scores if you wish.
Or best option might even be if I go to Richmond and post scores directly on here as well as take some snaps?
Let me know mate, always willing to help.

Hi Wedgie & Jas

Thanks for your reply

Wedgie, If you can go to Richmond, posting both scores from here & SMS received from Alberton on the site that would cover a lot of options in one hit.

JAS - if you can log into RPH coverage of Glenelg v Eagles and post on the site we are covered there,

I'll PM Jimmy (probably asleep at the moment) I am pretty sure he can do St v CD.

Then all I need to do is find someone at Alberton for PA v SA and we will be covered & away.
Alas I dont think ABC TV will be live at any stage so slightly stuck but will keep working at it.

Jimmy is a yes for St v CD updates on this site (you were right JAS).

So hopefully that's
1,2,3,5 & 6 covered

Just need to find someone with a mobile at Alberton.

Phil, I'm surprised that JAS wouldn't rather do a swap with Wedgie. One to keep in mind for the future

Cricket is off so I will stay home and do marking. As such, I will help Jimmy out with posting scores on here. Would be tempted to head to Unley but I better get this marking done.

As of course opposed to any of the thirty odd weeks in a year when they could do an upgrade without impacting on their customers.
