Is Glenelg a renaissance starter?

Round 1, 2004, Glenelg travel to Prospect Oval for our first game of the season. North have a new coach (Jarman) after finishing bottom the year before. Glenelg go into the match as favourites.
After a tight first half, North pull away in the second half and win comfortably. The North fans are ecstatic, they go on to make the finals and a new era is born.

Round 2, 2007, Glenelg travel to Unley Oval for our first game of the season. Sturt have a new coach (MacGowan) after finishing 8th the year before. Glenelg go into the match as favourites.
After a tight first half, Sturt pull away in the second half and win comfortably. The Sturt fans are ecstatic, they go on to make the finals and a new era is born.

Wrong. Central District ended our Renaissance in 1971.

We ended Glenelg's in 1974 at Footy Park :D :D

They're especially good at rolling up on grand final day to present the cup.
Kind enough to do it for Sturt on at least three occassions, 1969, 1970, 1974.

Yeah, the photo is from 1985 you can see Luders, Borchard, Williams, Kantilaftas in the foreground.....
