Info from the SANFL about their website:

The SANFL wishes to apologise for the website being down at intermittent periods over the past weekend - this was due to increased traffic to the site for the first round of the 2008 SANFL season.

Please beware that we are addressing this issue and taking the necessary steps to ensure the site and web server will handle the increased demand for live game day scoring for round 2 and beyond.

Shite.. i guess they didn't expect people to go to the hole of a website.

.. Either that or it took that long to realise after they went to do there WEEKLY site update.

For anyone thats interested there is now a scrolling message on the SANFL site to the effect that the live scores will not be displayed on the site this weekend due to server upgrades...scores can still be obtained from their SANFL scores service on 1900 986 004 at a cost of $1:10.

Oh well there goes another source for scores this weekend...no radio coverage or live scoreboard...thank god for 'around the grounds' reports :(

JAS

I like how they say to "beware" that they are addressing the issue, rather than "be aware".
