Norwood Membership Costs..

Twenty eight bottles of Scotch - to forget the pain
Video to DVD transfer fees - so we can watch our glory years again
Two ton of Horse manure - to dump on the doorstep after 158 point losses
An unlimited Internet plan - to vent on sites like this
A Liberal Party Membership - to be one of the inner sanctum

We do get entry to the club at premiership parties, dogger.

The cost is a stretch though, I'll grant you that. I like to compare it to my AFL team membership and all is fine again - I can join, plus Mrs smac and 3 kids for less! Plus I get 20 games of footy.

$165 but let's not quibble - that is pretty expensive in light of what other club members pay I guess. I presume it might be because of the high home match day costs of transforming a community park into an SANFL-standard facility (yes, go on, insert jokes about pooper-scoopers here...)

Just a little question about concession....does a health care card get you concession for membership at your club ? I ask this as i know someone who was denied getting concession at Westies this year although holding a health care card (wasn't me) and had to pay the full amount, the person had used the card in previous years and was accepted...
Just wondering.

Just to add my two cents worth in I was approached last weekend to join a fly fishing club . The above fees are a hell of a lot better than the fly fishing clubs price.
$220 dollars a year with access to private waters etc. But its that price every year and you are not assured of being a member after two years. In other words you could be told to hop it after paying $440 .
I should add the boss is ok about paying to be a footy member but she would not like me paying to fish .Lucky I wanna chase Bream and not trout.

Health care cards normally get you the concession price.

At Centrals a health care card doesn't count as a concession not sure at Westies though.

Not sure if this is the right place to discuss, and there's probably good reasons why this isn't in place, but can anyone shed some light on the following for me:

Why don't AAMI Stadium Ultimate/Category 1 memberships include a $50 (plucking a figure there - seems in line with most SANFL clubs base membership package) surcharge or component, which gets redirected to the SANFL club of choice, making the individual a member of both an AFL and SANFL club?

A similar setup could maybe work in with straight Power and Crows memberships?

SANFL clubs combined member numbers are around 20,000, yet the Crows + Power combined is around 70,000+ ... Thats 50,000 avowed football lovers not transferring back to the SANFL.

The obvious benefits for the SANFL clubs are the additional direct revenue via increased membership, but over time how many people might return to the local football, some of which might discover (or re-discover) a passion for it?

I'd imagine the dividend returned to SANFL clubs could have a major part in why something like this isn't in place?

It should. I'll be at the game Saturday night with next door, I'll be showing my HCC and getting in at concession prices as I have in the past.

Have only be told no once with a HCC and that was at Adelaide oval in final. And as i said a once only thing.
At a Crows trial a few years back it confused the hell out of a ticket seller but it still got me in as a concession.

CP I was telling someone last night its a shame but buying with a HCC gets me into every game as a member for roughly what it costs to get into 1 crows game .
I love the SANFL live stuff the awful leave that for tv watching when I'm not at an eagles game .

They shouldn't accept HCCs, they're a dime a dozen and not even treated as serious by the government department that helps issue them.
