New SANFL TV Commercial

At today's 2008 season launch at Distinctive Homes Dome, the SANFL premiered the new television commercial for the season.

Starting with Neil Kerley talking about what makes the league great, it features appearances by Sturt's Brant Chambers, Centrals' James and Chris Gowans and Glenelg's Brett Backwell all talking about what they love about the SANFL. With the theme of "Come and Get It", the ad is quite striking and looks a sound follow-on from last year's Kerley campaign.

The club coaches won the competition between the club mascots, the media and club captains for the "Commando" obstacle course, while each club was also represented by a local primary school in their region.

Is that the same Neil Kerley footage from a previous ad?

Regardless, a good ad. We've come such a long way since the Tim Shaw ads.

Wish Kerls had a higher SANFL profile throughout the year, not just for a one off ad...but anyway, it's a great advert - well done.

Would be nice if Barrie Robran would do one - would be majorly relevant given his continual involvement.
I'm guessing his modesty would prevent that though.

Just saw the new ad, looks great, 1000% improvement on those dodgy ads from a few years ago with that Tim Whatshisname the TV salesman guy.

I like the fact that (Kerls & Jars excepted) it doesn't trade on past glories like other ads have, but promotes this generation of 'champions'.

Since they kicked off the season at the Distinctive Homes Dome I wonder if the NBL will be kicking off their season at the MCG? :?

Apparently the mascots were all at the launch yesterday, apart from one club which wasn't represented though, which was very inappropriate.

Surely SP would have loved to have come out and represent the Duuble Blues yesterday?

I'd like it if they did something like what the NRL did. Mixing the old with the new.
