From Elizabeth to Adelaide Oval. Central came to the party and agreed to the move despite it being their home game. Very generous move from the CDFC that will have the thanks of all North supporters. (except those that booked travel interstate thinking the game would be at Elizabeth

)

Not sure I'm so happy I was all set for Hamra Homes. Had good plans set for that night.
But, I guess for the tradition of the day, well done Dogs.

Nah not really, although I do really enjoy the Grand Central and catching up with Dogs fans there.
Missus and kids hate it for various reasons but its mainly a distance thing as I dont mind it. Missed quite a few games out there easily more than other ovals.
When I was playing footy Id use Elizabeth matches to go to watch the Shoes As and Bs at Noarlunga Oval too.

With you on the distance thing. The Bays are there twice this year and I intend to get to both games especially the night game. Haven't been to Elizabeth for a few years more to do with being away etc, then lack of driving required...

Just checked and its 50 kilometres from my place. Hate to think of how many stoplights that 50 ks includes.
At least for fans doing the opposite there's the expressway. We wouldnt get the expressway either way for a day game and only once for a night game.

That'd be why North moved all their home games to Sat arvo then Punky?

So take this as a warning to all South and Cental fans.
You can no longer complain when opposition supporters use the "too far" card.

I only see a Bays support and a North supporter complaining about distance in this thread...

well done to the Doggies, they would have things planned out and expecting a good crowd and probably plenty of usage of pokies etc, they could have quite easily said No to the move and that would have been the end of it. Lets hope for a fine Anzac day and a bumper crowd at Adelaide Oval

Does it become a day game?

It was programmed as a day game (well a 3pm start) before. It'd remain the same I'd imagine as would the Norwood v South game at Norwood remain a night game which is programmed to start at 7.40pm that night.

I'm not going to Elizabeth this week.
Too far. Stupid time for a game. Have something else on.
