Central District v Subiaco,
Sturt v Port Melbourne,
West Adelaide v Peel,
Port Adelaide v Swan Districts
Woodville-Torrens v Sandringham
I want to see more of this.

A knock out pre season comp would be great

I want to go and see North play, not the Cows or Powa, **** the AwFL, don't degrade our comp any more than the SANFL and AFL already have, the games are a good idea (similar to Norths trips to Darwin & Canberra in recent years) but keep them stand alone.

well we couldnt have the campions of australia type comp between state league clubs, but a knockout pre-season comp would be great, would love a few interstate trrips to watch the Dogs.

I think not...

In the perfect world I would like to see a ban on playing preseason trials against other SANFL clubs, just to build up more intrigue and anticipation for the start of the season.
In reality though clubs just couldnt justify the cost of travelling interstate to play in trials, other than the once off efforts of recent times by North & West.

A top idea especially to play against WAFL sides which hasnt been done for a number of years, I do think that a side like Subiaco could beat some of the SANFL sides, against Central would be a great game to go and watch!
Considering how Vic centric the AFL is, it wouldent be a bad thing for the SANFL and the WAFL to establish closer links and bolster each others competitions.

I agree with you Hazydog and I think the cost of playing interstate clubs would be worthwhile and maybe generate more interest/crowds.
Having said that we should remember these are trials....an opportunity to see younger players...experiment....have a look at new recruits.
