My mate informs me ( very passionate and influential person at NAFC) that there is a lot happenning off the field. Apparantly they recently had an "interesting " cover up of an AGM. People asking questions without honest responses. His close friend had threatened further action and more . So this is obviously a VERY BIG story . Not all is well at North as has been stated on here before. All he would say is that it does have a bit , not all, to do with Adelaide Oval . From what I gather some money will not be haeding to Prospect next year. Unless things change and change very quicky I reckon we will see North slide big time which will also bring change ........ that'smaybe what North fans want .
Anyone know anything ?

Is someone going to burn down the Northern tavern & Grand North
Dont get too cocky. That is the problem with these money making venues clubs can lose focus on their real income !! You their supporters . You may have a couple of venues , but thats no good if noone watches ya!! Ian North have some very big issues on their hands and North supporters are not happy. I am pleased you are making money , but don't forget your real supporters. If 1 big one ( no pun intended) pulls out .......then what .

No , I am just saying listen to your supporters . But like any smart investor you dont put all your eggs in one basket. Its simple stuff. I didnt mention Gerards name , buy hypothetically what if he became unhappy? Or is he runing the show mate ? Thats it get rid of the board then hey , he can pull the strings ? Maybe that is the problem , maybe your board are the muppets ?

He must have been at a different AGM to the one myself, Punky and Ian were at.

Adelaide Oval was brought up and answered as discussed when the event happened almost a month ago.
As far as finances go we'd be the envy of a lot of AFL clubs let alone other SANFL clubs.

You could do worse than having a brilliant business mind and great South Australian running any club

He'd have the time he was going to use to sit on the Reserve Bank Board until something 'unfortunate' came up to scrub that.

Sounds like a case of chinese whispers to me

.... (or a pre-planned use of a public forum to rally a cause!)
OCT if I read you right, you heard this 'scoop' from a close friend who has a close friend who is involved at North? And yet people who went to the AGM and can give first hand accounts tell a different story
Have you got any facts here or just interpreting opinions from someone who knows someone who heard something, etc, etc? Its nice to know a Sturt supporter cares so much about North supporters and want us to be happy

I thought his source could have been the Roost, Hondo. Not much he said here that hasn't already been expressed over there.

Just read what happened at the AGM on the Roost. no secrets, no scoop. Seems like a thread just to get a bite.

The build up to the AGM was another matter entirely though...

Thanks SMAC I just checked out the Roost and I see what you mean
Someone (or someone with a few mates) clearly has a bee in their bonnet about this Adelaide Oval issue!!

Agree 100% smac. My point was that there was no secret about what happened. It's an old news story.

Yep, agree with that - thankfully the footy starts soon, not much longer of the slow, repeatable reporting to go...

Anti-North brigade: Rushby Hinds (although in fairness, he posts scurrilous statements about everone except Glenelg, but North are high on th radar), Dash 61 & now OCT

Don't flatter yourself - I reckon most that aren't North supporters would consider themselves anti-North.
I'm anti-everyone except Centrals.
