I think its only fair that the newest club pre 1991 are taken from the comp as thats when the Crows came in. So given we cant remove WWT as that would remove the history of 2 clubs, then it has to be Centrals

GWW - not a bad idea but surely the newest club is Port Adelaide Magpies? (posted just for PPP )

Well the PAFC i believe considered disbanding around 96/97 but the SANFL didn't want them to go

So it has to be Centrals

I think you misread Southees post Wedgie. I think he is saying no to an 8 team comp.

If it were the newest club to go it would have to be PAMFC, PAFC didn't "consider disbanding".
They joined the AFL, they then created a new club, the Port Adelaide Magpies FC as the SANFL wanted Port to have a presence in the SANFL.

Options for amalgamation could be:
Geographically the 2 closest clubs are Glenelg & West. (West Tigers, or the Bay Bloods)

Westies and West Torrens were the closest clubs, the Eagles and West could amalgamate to become WWTWAFC, wouldn't that just roll of the tongue nicely. Add the Eagles and Bloods together, they could simply be called the "Roadkills"

The 2 Southern most clubs are Glenelg & South, also the closest 2 clubs to the sea. (Coastal Cats)

The 2 Eastern most clubs are Norwood & Sturt, and they already share the same club song. Neither have a real logo, join the 2 mascots, get a man with 2 heads and you could claim KI heritage.

The only other "real" geographic option is North and Centrals, that wouldn't work, within a month there would be civil war and we'd all kill each other, and would the SANFL really let a side in called the Dog Cocks?.




Seriously, just let a 10th team in.

thanks to a prominant poster on hear that pointed out that I missed the most obvious "geographic amalgamation".
Port and The Eagles, both grounds within spitting distance, guernsey could be Black, White, Blue, Green, with a Yellow stripe up the back.
