The "GREEN" Club

In 2008 with droughts, climate change and carbon trading its great to see Woodville / West Torrens Eagles GO GREEN.

They have gone into recycling and their first targets is other SANFL clubs waste. In an ambitous program they will try and recycle the unwanted watse from the othe 8 clubs

Craig Gogoll (Centrals)
Jarrod Wright (South)
Nathan Twomey (South)
James McEntee (Marion/North)
Joel Mackie (Albury/Wodonga)
Tom Couch (Victoria)
Craig Taylor (Sturt/Port)
Nick Malinovski (West)
Daniel Roberts
Matt Roberts

The clubs 2008 slogan is
"Go green go the eagles"

im sure DASH would take great offence to such a harsh attack on his club. I mean an attack like that would hurt anyone............

You would be very surprised how well Ron Fuller goes with recycled players .One former West player managed to win a grand final for the club. But I guess if he stayed at Richmond he could have won the spoon over and over and over and over and over again again and again.

Perhaps you are green with envy. I thought Westies were recycling Victoria 48 new players 24 of which come from Victoria.
See you in the finals Dash

cheers

48 new players?
24 from Victoria?
I think we'd get closer to the truth if we divide what you say by 2.

Well just saying what I have read on this site. Don't ask me where :D
Look if Dash wants to post stuff like the above no worries .
Heard in the past similar things about groecke ,cooper etc.
Lets see who is in the finals series because the Eagles were not happy finishing third . Was your mob happy finishing where abouts again.

Fair enough
But don't forget one of your ejects played in an Eagles Grand final win and another played in a Doggies grand final win .
Recycled players sometimes work .And at least one of the above new Eagles players started life as an Eagle.

Dabrowski and Slattery weren't rejected (at least not on the basis that they weren't good enough). The club wouldn't pay what they wanted so they went elsewhere.

Perhaps there is a problem at Richmond .Centrals and Woodville/West torrens(whichever team pre merger) were Cellar dewellers both clubs have turned this around .
Maybe Westies need to look at the two above clubs and learn a thing or two .Believe me its better to finish 3rd than last. But its better to the win the flag than finish second.

To Dash mate stir the pot all you like its better to have players like the above named and play off in a GF than finish bottom because you will not pay the players what they want. And what type of player last year did you guys decide to BUY Cupido !!!!!! hahahaha good bargain player not

Good comments by yourself of course

Cuppido is training the place down and now has taken a role in mentoring some of the younger players, he is showing great maturity and big things are hoped this year, i just hope that west dont climb above the recyclers this year and you end up with egg all over your face. We can only go up, you can fall completely from grace.

PS Unlike a lot of westies people i do think at certain times Nick Malinovski can play and has not always had the chances which he deserve. His disposal can be ordinary and can be very inconsistent in getting enough of the ball but on nis day is a real goal sneak

And on brad dabrowski he is a terrific lad and person, he left because he didnt get the money he wanted and probably deserved, he was not a reject as Malinovski is.

Slattery was not a reject either but wanted to play at another club and get a better deal, we recieved 27K approx for his clearance and was a very expensive recruit for one season for the dogs,

But in the next two years under collins big things are hoped and the guys who have stood firm in the sinking ship may yet play in a flag win, Good luck to dobber and slats (what went threw our club could only be called an outbreak of noxious weeds)
