The new West Adelaide coach ( Andy Collins) was on the radio yesterday for about half an hour talking about his new job and football in general.

I have to say i was very impressed with the way he came across and all Westies supporters should start to get excited about goin to see there team for this upcoming season.

He talked about there massive list turn over of players and the changing of the culture with in the club. He talked about the SANFL in general and even spoke as in we and us not I am a Victorian.

He also went in to how great this state is in tradition and he is embracing all our SA sporting teams.

I rekon Westies have got the right bloke for there club - well done !!!

As long as he is given time without the pressure for immediate immediate finals success. From all reports he is brilliant at developing his own list with his hand chosen players. I wouldn't judge him to harshly at the end of this season no matter what results but by the end of 2010 West will be a consistent top 3 force for many years if he is given the chance to put in place his own strategies and infrastructure IMHO.

If you reciprocate by buying a Norwood Swans membership as well !

Its the way to go in the SANFL
get the finances up
get a decent coach
get a few interstate recruits to improve the list

Good luck to WA for doing all 3 criterias they have had to after losing so many juniors this decade to the AFL

I was recently speaking to the property steward of the team formerly known as the Desert Peas and he couldn't speak highly enough of the new coach.
He reckons he also has lads strategically positioned in the creek and surrounding backyards to retrieve lost footies and would be runners. :)

Although I follow the Magpies, I have this un-easy feeling that this will be a big year for Westies. There's no way I'd be picking them for the wooden spoon this year.
