SANFL UNDER 18 ACADEMY ANNOUNCED

The SANFL is pleased to announce the SANFL Under 18 Academy for 2008.
The Academy was first introduced in 2002, with the initiative to allow talented players under the age of 18 years the opportunity to engage in specialist training from the SANFL Talent Coaching Staff.
A squad of 50 young up-and-coming stars will begin their specialist training in December under the guidance of SANFL Talent Manager, Brenton Phillips. The training will consist of 2 weekend camps in December and January, followed by further training throughout January and February. During this time, a number of practice matches will take place to help prepare the coaches in their quest to find potential Under 18 State players for the Under 18 National Championships.
All players will return to their SANFL Clubs on completion of the Academy in February, ready to begin the 2008 SANFL ‘be active’ League season.

it won't be until 2009, 2008 will be 17s and 19s
