Good gets for the Bays, Perrie's not the most impressive marking forward in the SANFL but something that the Bays have been missing for a while, at least McConnell will be able to pass to him now without worrying that it will cost him the Bays a game.
Seriously though, 2 players that will top up the Bays list beautifully, they should be around the mark in 08.
Can't wait for the first North v Glenelg game next year! We might make Perrie cry!

well if thats the case South would be a little p..d off one would think, as a North supporter I wish Ian Perrie well, he reckon he got hard done by at North by the supporters, well Ian, you will really find out. However on saying that I wish him well in his endeavours at that club, and Wedgie it won't be might, it will be, especially if it's at Prospect, but overall with the two signings the Bays have got today, they won't get anyone else, bye bye salary cap

Congratulations to both of them!

Naturally I had hoped that Torney would play for the Panthers because of his history with the club, yet if that is his decision then I hope he does well for Glenelg. The problem with South that has been our downfall is having players that are not 100% for the jumper, so I would rather he be honest and let us keep trying to put the right list together.

I'm sure our most professional and trustworthy adminsitration will follow Norths lead and post all details of the contracts on our website. I'm confident Mr Condon will be as rigorous investigating our books in 2009 as he has been with North in the past....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

No reason why not since we were targetted closer than other clubs this year. I'm sure the trend will continue (with the same result).

Only look at them a year later?
Christ, I know you need some sort of concessions at the Bay to climb up the ladder to the buisness end (ie top 3) but surely that's going too far!

Getting slightly off track isn't the process once the final payments are transacted i.e. after the end of the season and the total payments have been collated isn't that when the books are looked at. Correct me if I'm wrong wasn't South found to have breeched 2005 in 2006??

Depends which club you are and if you're looked upon nicely from the SANFL or not, some clubs will get auditted a hell of a lot more than yearly if the last 12 months is any indication.
Glenelg would probably be safe with only 12 month audits, they don't create too many ripples just saying Yes Sir to the SANFL.

Perrie will make a good replacement for Smith - who was impressive last year. Torney is an excellent pick up. The type of player that can be the difference between winning a final or losing one. He isn't in the same league as Ben Hart, but could still be a match-winner at SANFL level.

Yes Sellar will have to pull his finger out or could we see another Willets situation?

Perrie could be a 70 goal forward without the distraction of AFL and playing for the right reasons

I think Torney will be a match winner for the Bays. He could play a little further up the ground as well. I see him playing a Thewlis type role for the Bays.

Perrie, I think now that the AFL is in the past for him he might pull his finger out a bit and work really hard for the Bays. Wouldnt surprise to see him kick 40+ goals and become one of the real match winners of the league.

Good signings.
