His 4 brothers and sisters, and my grandfather are/were all North supporters as well, they grew up in Crystal Brook, dad and his 2 brothers played for the Crystal Brook Roosters, now both of my kids are also North supporters (and members)

i go for Werribee and Westies with the weed and the axe as coach of each of these teams we have two of the best mullets that ever played AFL football as coaches.

Well lets see, My Uncle is a North Supporter and my mum is a Norwood Supporter. When I was 4 my uncle took me to my first game.... North v Port and told me I had to go for the red and white team.

Then I saw Tim Evans.

The rest is history....

My Grand father and the there is only 1 color that exists for me and it comes in two shades.

Glenelg, because most of my Mums relly's lived down that way, over here in the West, East Perth, can remember going to a game with the Father, I was about 7 or 8 asked Dad who to barrack for and he said if you want a lift home after the game make sure its East Perth. So did as I was told.

Seriously, I go for North because my dad who supported Sturt worked on Saturdays and my uncle who was a North member used to take me to their games - the rest as they say is history.

First Adelaide home was in Prospect.

My Father worked and became friends with the late Bob Shearman. Being new to the country, from the UK, Bob introduced him to the game and the mighty Sturt Football Club. Dad was keen to immerse himself in the Aussie way of life and consequently took to the game and indeed the Club, so much so you can count on two hands the number of games he has missed over the last thirty something years.
Obviously when I came along, Sturt was my birthright and I too fell in love with the Double Blues. I was born in a Premiership year, 1976, my younger Brother missed out on that honour by a solitary Des Foster mistake in 1978.
The word 'Port' was a swear word in our household and poor old Mum has had to put up with Winter's being dominated by the one pursuit year in, year out for over forty years.

The other thread suggesting Unley Oval should be banished is most upsetting to me for obvious reasons. I stood up on Dad's shoulders and grew up watching my heroes on those terraces. Sure, the place has changed a lot since my formative years but I still get a buzz every time I walk through those gates on a wintery Saturday afternoon. Unley has a special feel about it and to relocate to a Wayville or an Adelaide Oval again would be tantamount to suicide. I often feel the amount of criticism our home ground gets is out of habit and because it's fashionable to do so. There is nothing wrong with the facilities, there are clean toilets, Bars, Kiosks and all those other amenities that are no different to any other ground. In fact, a lot of our facililties are in some cases better than some other SANFL grounds.

To some it up, Sturt is my club and always will be whether we are bottom or top.

love the colours...and when i was young, i just followed what dad did...he went for the blues, so i did too

Pretty much been a Norwood supporter since i can remember. Probably mainly due to the fact that my school was in a Norwood zone so i had bit to do with the club at an early age. Shame they dont get out as much anymore,

Grew up in the Sturt zone and my first recollection of a football match is the 1983 Grand Final when of course West defeated the Double Blues.

I remember that game.

Was a toss up between Port and South for a while. Then I went to a Norwood game and that was that.

I was one of those lads who did what his father said, he said barrack for Sturt son and I did
dont know where my brother (North) or sister (Glenelg) went wrong, although my sister did have a huge crush on Sticks Kernahan

and its good to see that kids of today will sometimes do what their fathers say, my son barracks for Sturt, does not listen to me at any other time though
