brenton honor proves he has no idea

Postby bayman » Fri Oct 05, 2007 11:48 am

was listening to coastfm this moring & brenton honor comes on with his preview etc & when asked about james allens magarey medal win he said 'a big upset with him winning it'

all betting agencies had him around the even money mark most other sanfl experts had him in the placings at worst & honor says a big upset

to coastfm, get a real expert like punk, mal, dutchy, wedgie & even myself to talk sanfl because he has no idea & whats worse is he coached my club

Seriously how much more can Brenton Honour possibly get wrong? The worst media expert by a long shot and there would be no "upset" with him winning that award in a landslide if there was one!

I think he's failed to select 1 winner in the finals series.

Would you say his coaching stint was pretty similar to his journalistic stint, and for the same reason?

totally agree

the day at woodville he slapped marcus baldwin in the face, that then to my way of thinking proved he has no idea in man management let alone tactics in the coaches box, i was in the rooms before the a game at unley & while we were down somewhere near the bottom, so were sturt who had had 'crisis meetings' with carmen & the players during the week & the final speech was (paraphrasing) 'this mob has had meetings on whether to sacked their coach or not, so go out there & put them out of their misery & end their season, history shows sturt won comfortably. i saw no tactics on the board just this end their season

He did bring the 14 man flood to the SANFL... ;) About the only thing I've seen him predict correctly is the result of the 2003 1st Semi; everything else he has got wrong.

its funny you say that spelly because a year or so ago when on the abc tv broadcast they were talking about how the afl with their flooding tactics were spoiling footy as a spectacle & in some way were ruining the game.....which i was amazed at seeing he brought it to the sanfl a couple of years or so earlier, which makes me wrong as he did have a tactic afterall
