2007 Grand Final: CDFC v NAFC

The contest most would've preferred has eventuated Dogs v Roosters.
Expect a good crowd. 30k?

No time for Centrals fans to get complacent, as the Roosters are bound to have big numbers getting along.

Doggies fans to wear predominantly blue?

How will the big game today effect the Roosters? Had to fight hard from the last few matches of the minor round.

How will Centrals be effected by another break?

Enigmas Motlop, Alleway and Gill will need to fire if North are to win.

Best of luck both sides and their supporters.

Roosters fans (and Mal) will be keen to know that Jars has said Lonie will play if Port make them available.

come on DW - North fans have to wear the away strip, not us!

Who'll be first dogs supporter to post directions to footy park on here?

I'm sure I'll have something to say about the game itself at some point this week, just not right now. Looking forward to it already though.

But if they wear white, everyone will think they're supporting the umpires!

Us neutrals will be interested in a GF for the first time since '03.
Can't see Central being beaten. Two losses all year, although one to North,
make them firm favorites IMO.
Prediction - Central 15.16.106 to North 12.11.83.
Richard Cochrane - Jack Oatey Medal

North looked good today and considering that they have managed to beat Central once this year I think that we are in for a great SANFL Grand Final this year. North seemed to have plenty of support at Adelaide Oval today, so hopefully their supporters will pack out Football Park and get a good crowd there to see what will be a great game!

central by plenty & i think the sanfl will be breathing a huge sigh of relief that north won the preliminary final as the crowd will be no doubt a lot healthier than if wwt won, especially after the ordinary turnout of 7,794 today

This will be a great GF.

I expect a crowd pushing 35 000.

No bullshit, don't be surprised if there are close to 40,000. What is on next weekend? No Slowdown & everyone is screaming out for a new side in the big one!

Just suggested to Mrs JTC that I should be getting a flight for Friday. Didn't exactly go down too well but didn't exactly say no either. Couple of days to work on her. We'll see.

Shouldn't this have a * after it?
Keep showing her, she'll get the hang of it, they all do

All the best to NAFC and CDFC on making the grand final. In retrospect, if we had made it I reckon we would have been smashed (three tough games on the trot and you could see we were struggling each week as the finals progressed)

For a change I will be there totally relaxed. Not sure who I want to win - will probably be impartial till either one of your supporters makes a wally of a comment which will make me back the other side. :D

Agree Kirky.

Crowd? Obviously a lot of talk about it on here re Eagles crowds over the last couple years.
Would say 32k about par. Anything less than 30k would be disappointing, and obviously mean the days of huge crowds are over, and should go to Adelaide Oval.
35k+ would be a sensational crowd. 40,000 would be great for footy, but would make me a bit sick that we couldn't get those crowds. But will be there, enjoying a good game of footy.

Should be a huge crowd as six clubs have sides playing in Grannies on Sunday. Will say it now, but probably not later: Good luck to North next Sunday, particularly Wakelin, Coulter and Krieg.
Cheers

I thought Bobby Davis summed it up well the other day, said something like...

May the ball bounce true,
May the umpires call it correctly,
May no one get injured and
May the best team win.

if the last 100 years are anything to go by the roosters a due for a flag. they have won at least 1 flag in every decade.
