Barring any injury or selection issue Scott Bamford will play his 200th game for North Adelaide this coming Sunday in the Preliminary Final.

I think that's pretty amazing for a bloke with his frame especially considering he also played 59 AFL games for Fitzroy, Brisbane and Geelong.

I'm sure all on this site will join me in congratulating Scotty Bamford. What a fantastic effort!

Yes, I will congratulate him for sure, he is an example that you don't need to have a big build to play the game at SANFL or AFL level. An exciting player when he is running down the wing at top pace.

One of my fondest moments was when Geelong finally won a game at Footy Park against Port in about 98 or 99.
They brought Scotty Bamford off the bench in the last quarter and he kicked 3 beauties from outside 50 heading towards the northern end for an easy Geelong victory.
Memorable because the Turquoise army looked confused when I was screaming he was a North Adelaide Champion as I don't think they'd ever heard of North Adelaide (don't think they'd ever heard of the Port Adelaide Magpies either to tell the truth) and when they started leaving at the 10 minute mark of the last quarter I shouted "you wouldn't see Crows supporters leaving early".

Funny as buggery the responses I got!

I just drove past the Adelaide Oval and I think I saw Bamford running up and down the members wing.

Well, he's been picked for his 200th game officially now, what a fantastic achievement.
I think he's the first player to play 200 games for North since Brenton Phillips. :D

Well done to Scott, I too used to follow his progress when he was in the AFL and always enjoy watching him play.

well done to Banger, great NAFC man, through and through, never shirks an issue, deserves all the praise and pats on the backs he gets this week, hopefully the team will put in a blinder for him and get him into a G/F. Well done Banger, thanks for those great runs down that outer wing over the years

I think that Scott Bamford played junior footy at Para Hills.I always like to see players reach their milestone games regardless of which team they play for.
Well done to Scott for reaching 200 games something we don't see all that often in the SANFL these days.
