As just reported on the Channel 10 sports report that the SACA have expressed interest of luring North away from Prospect Oval to play all their home games to Adelaide Oval.


IMHO have the North management completely lost their marbles????

If the SACA are trying to lure NAFC away ..... why is it NAFC management with the marbles missing????

Did the report say the move was initiated by the club or by the SACA?

would norf want to give up all home games.........

id be thinking maybe 4 or so home games at adelaide oval and the rest at prospect

sorry hondo after I posted it I realised it was worded wrong they would have to lose their marbles to consider it. If the Prospect Cricket Club have another poor season this year they may be living on borrowed time and then North can have Prospect Oval all to themselves


It was tacked onto the report on the possible move of the GF there and it defniately said ALL games

North have big plans for redeveloping Prospect and expirimented with playing 3 or 4 home games at Adelaide Oval recently which failed miserably.
Be more chance of us playing at Greenacres.
No surprise Adelaide Oval want us, hate to see how much they made out of grog sales on Sunday.

North leave Prospect, the board will be sacked with a vote of no confidence straight out. This is a story construded by the SACA cause as the Wedge monster said, the amount of money the make out of us each game there is enormous. Alot would have to change for North to play home games there, firstly, all Weslo security babies that wear nappies on case they crap themselves when challenged would have to be removed, there would have to be decent car parking attendants, not those that sit back and attempt to give grog squad members brown eyes like occurred on Sunday, the beer would have to be a hell of a lot cheaper, my kids bags would have to stopped being searched for flares (again which occurred on Sunday).

Take it from me the move won't happen, IMHO it will be about this time next year the the NAFC in its own right will own Prospect Oval

Your not seriously saying North will own Prospect outright?

Surely it will always be crown land as it should always be?

North will never own Prospect outright but they have been doing a deal to own part of the oval mainly where the grandstand/offices/etc are.

Back on the topic though, you can't blame the SACA for trying, if they can't get AFL then North Adelaide are the next best thing.

As a Norwood man I dont mind Prospect at all.....I had the best hotdog in my life at Prospect a few years ago.

A snippet on Ch10 news suggested SACA were keen to have the Roosters play out of Adelaide Oval from 2009.

No indication whether or not the club themselves were actually intereted, but nevermind...

Having looked at the comments provided as part of the SANFL Venues Survey then in some eyes this would perhaps be a popular move...

Too much crime at Prospect for my liking (almost as much as the Bay) and I've already sold one house at Prospect, don't want to go through all that again.
