I'll do my bit to help Bays fans since they're not used to travelling to Adelaide Oval in the finals.

The Bay City Fun Run is this Sunday, leave early or don't try and cross Anzac Highway.

I was amazed to see that this week will be the first final Glenelg have played at Adelaide Oval since the win over North in 1973.

I know it has been 8 years since we were in the finals (which was the year before I started doing the stats for Glenelg!), but to me I'm not expecting it to feel that different on Sunday to other games we have played at Adelaide Oval over the last two years, as some of them have had a finals-like atmosphere in my opinion:

The Reserves preliminary final in 2005 where we beat Port

The round 3 double header last year where we thrashed Centrals by 95 points

The round 23 "prelimination final" against South last year

PS I would love to see Flagboy running the other way down Anzac Highway too! :lol:

That Centrals game was more of a carnival atmosphere than a finals atmosphere - the main thing that was missing is that 'tension' in the air that all finals games have.

I am sure you enjoyed the day as much as it p!ssed me off, though. :lol:
