Grab an AFL Great in 2008 - But who?

Postby Squawk » Wed Aug 29, 2007 12:42 am

If your SANFL team could recruit one retiring player from the AFL, in any capacity (on or off field), who would you want, why, and in what capacity?

Assume all named players are agreeable to coming to your club in 2008 if asked.
Steve Bradbury and Michael Milton. Aussie Legends.

Buckley, tragically a port man, but to hell with it, it would be good for the league to have him in the SANFL

The Legs could do with some phyical force and there's no better in the business than Arch, so he'd be my man.

Hird I reckon - plenty to offer in a forward pocket ("do what you like" would be the instruction) combined with a coaching role.

luke darcy for mine. i reckon he could do some serious damage as a ruckman/forward for another 2-3 years at SANFL, assuming he doesn't do a knee or something major
