Ahhhh. Should've recognised the name ;)

I think he is Malcolm McGrath's step son, as well.

Has a buggered up knee after ongoing issues from a reconstruction.

Saw him at the shops recently and had beefed up a bit and was walking with a bit of discomfort.

Had a knackered back as well I reckon. Ran into Malcolm McGrath a while back, he said the club had told Jamie to take some time off and try to get his body right. Had a bit of shit in him, reminded me a bit of ex-Dog Damian Hynes.

John Greenslade has unfortunately done his ACL and will be out for the year, while Dylan Gamble is in QLD for work and probably wont be back.

Interesting new recruit Brad Hartmann for the legs this week. Very Ben Cousins like :-)

Apparently John Butcher is training the house down at the Ponderosa, I hope he proves me wrong this year. I doubt it will happen but I hope he does.

Why do you doubt it will happen?

The guy is extremely athletic, has a great pair of hands and, despite his awkward kicking action, is capable of kicking bags of 5 and 6 goals.

There will be no doubt we will see John butcher a few shots on goal throughout the year, but I think he will surprise a lot of people.

No need to cut yourself up over Butcher.

I reckon Connor McLean is one to look out for down there this year. He's got the potential to form a good relationship with Butch.
We're not going to be a 1D attack this season, that's for sure.

I think his athletic ability on the open space at Elizabeth will be a massive win for the Doggies. Won't be many key backs who will match him for run out there. I also think the weight of expectation being lifted from him will make him a better footballer, more team orientated. Not saying he wasn't team orientated, but there must have been a shift in focus for him from time to time. Me over us, as such. Could be a huge in for the Doggies I feel.

The bits I've seen he's extremely inconsistent, as I said I hope I'm wrong. Roy is happy with how he is going and apparently his attitude has been first rate. As long as he gives us 100% effort I'll be happy, even if he doesn't do a huge amount he will take a key defender so someone like Connor McLean will be given less attention.

Josh is a massive in for us.
He is very fit and has maintained much of what he gained in that department during his AFL time.
Also massive for us will be the Hannath/Fort ruck duo.

There will be a bit of expectation from this group this season.

Marcus Barreau could be an interesting player to watch this season, if he gets a chance.
A rangy defender, he is very quick off the mark and, I think, will adapt to senior footy really well.

Im surprised $14 is still available for a Dogs flag. Don't need to win the whole shebang, but at those odds all they need to do is play finals to lock in a profit and I'd be hugely surprised if they weren't there.

I agree. $16 on Crownbet for the Dogs is big overs.

Adelaide at $8.50 and Norwood at $10 are other good value bets.
I think it's going to be a very open season.
