Well, you masterminded Pyman's dismissal so I would not be at all surprised if you have had a fair bit to do with getting Jack.

Look forward to seeing Monday whether your prediction is true...

I'd say there'd be 14 less players on the list if Cahill was there!

Maybe tho it wouldn't get to that point in the first place .....

Maybe the new coach will do it anyway??

I think South need a really hard, strong coach, someone who wont step aside and let the players dictate terms.

I reckon it's obvious that Cahill would bring instant respect with him. Players won't be dictating terms if he's in charge.

Jack was an interested observer at Glenelg Oval this afternoon for the South vs Norwood Reserves Qualifying Final.

Handing over the keys to a 1987 Corolla to someone, otherwise he would have stayed at the TAB.

Geez Southee, bit late to be claiming the rumour to be yours aren't you. Your first post was 4 pages in to a thread announcing he had the job!!

My source is very close to the action. Matter of time now and it will be announced.

Fatal, your reputation is shot mate...... :D

Not claiming, just cementing it in stone. It was all rumour and inuendo but from a close source can say "He's the Man".

When Cahill originally left South I heard he agreed with the club to coach them in 2008.

My ear has been to the ground and my sources have revealed Jack is set to be signed within the next couple of days to a 1 year deal much the same as was the case with the pies a couple of seasons ago. He will be there to groom Clay Sampson who you can expect to take over from Jack.

Once again South throw $$$ at a quick fix solution. How embarrassing for South and its long suffering supporters. I really really hope I'm wrong but surely Jack's day has passed; as brilliant as he has been the fire in the belly cannot be the same. It's like when your favourite band reforms and it sounds like a good idea at the time...but in truth you wished it didn't happen. Geeez, are Westies gonna get Neil Kerley?

I was also correct in my earlier statements on other posts that Rehn was nowhere near being in the running...
