No disrespect to Massie or the list but I fail to see how anyone can leave Alleway out of the top 10 players in the SANFL???

agree 150%, every team in the comp would have alleway but would they have massie ? doubtful

Most teams would squeeze Massie in somewhere I'd be guessing. Can play on ball, run off a flank or even hold down a key defensive post. Pace isn't his strongest suit but at this level that'll be less apparent but his football nous, in lieu of a better word, is second to none.

Who knows, he may even be better than Matthew Lokan.

your last sentence is almost correct (it isn't 'may' it is 'is')

i doubt massie would make central, sturt or glenelg as a regular 'first pick player'

Sorry Bayman, I'd have him. I think he'll be our best 21.

Better than Lokan? Well Lokan does have falls, remonstrates and "what, who me ump?" down to a fine art....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

you might, i don't rate him (nothing personal to him just my opinion), he has done very well to play as many afl games as he has with imho limited ability (in most areas) for that level

Compared to many of the modern players whose only talent appears to be putting one foot in front of the other then repeating ad nauseam, Reilly, Doughty, Cassisi etc etc, Massie could at least win a contested possession.

Just IMHO of course.

To be hosted by John Nankevill and Sandy Cameron with an interview with coach Mark Mickan and another representative or 2 from the Bay.

Then followed the week after (5/3/09) with the MOST important show, the Centrals segment, hosted by Phil Herden and Jim Huff ;)

I don't suppose it can be downloaded from anywhere, like 5RPH itself?

Don't forget for all the Doggies fans out there to tune in this Thursday night from 8pm...

Phil Herden and Jim Huff will be hosting the Centrals segment and will no doubt be talking to coach Roy Laird and probably the Gowans boys and/or Kris Grant.

Tune in to 1197 5RPH on the AM dial from 8pm this Thursday night :D

I think they went through all the clubs before Christmas and are now going through them again.

Westies were first and got a rushed 3 minutes. I'm looking forward to a better deal when their turn comes up this time.

They did go through all the clubs before Christmas, in reverse order of how the sides finished on the premiership ladder. The pre christmas chats were more about how pre season training was going and a reflection of season 2008.

Post Christmas, they are going through all the clubs, again in reverse ladder order, discussing the season ahead, how pre season went and of course, all the recruits and departures from the club for season 2009.

So Westies have already had their 2 shows redandbalck, Centrals on Thursday night will be the last of the club discussions. As of next week, I think there will just be general discussion regarding trial games and form before the lead up to the first week of the season will kick of the Thursday Night League Teams Show, announcing the ins and outs of each side for the up coming round.

Thanks for that, Phil. I was afraid I might have missed our second one. The first was really poor, but these things happen.

I'll look forward to the shows from now on.
