BIG WRAPS on a player that has made Geelongs best half a dozen only 3 times and kicked 25 goals in three seasons

I know from googling at one stage he was dropped due to AFL geelong players coming back into the vfl side.

We need at least 8 quality players and good ones to. We have the cash so use it, Cheep would not have cost much

It's an agreement between state leagues, clearly designed to slow down the drain of players to the SANFL, whereby the transfer fee between leagues now rises from $10,000 to $15,000, with a further $5,000 payable upon year 2.
I doubt it will discourage most of the SANFL clubs.

It's still a disgraceful arrangement that is obviously designed to impede the development of the SANFL. What on earth would be in it for the SANFL to make such an agreement?

There's nothing in it, but we're only one state - there are several others with votes.

My inquiries have determined that this is not yet the case - the league clubs are due to discuss the possibility at the SANFL in the next month or so. Hopefully it doesn't occur.

This is very good news from the Eagles camp. An excellent start to the off season. Looking forward to seeing what Jay brings to the team in 2009.

Page 93 of The Advertiser today has an article about this. Looks like the SANFL is getting rolled as predicted by nickname and redandblack.

funny how they mentioned Centrals and Callinan in the article

might have something to do with the fact that the Eagles offered Callinan about 30% more than Centrals?
