SALARY CAP CHEATS the roosters

only problem is they have hardly got a return for their investment!!!!

a general question what is the feeling about recruiting???

it appears they seem to load up on ex afl players who are on the wrong side of the hill.

The supporters recognised a lot of issues with recruiting this year but that wasn't it, it was more the areas of the ground where we recruited. (ie supporters wanted key position players and ruck where the club overloaded on midfielders).
North have had some great ex AFL playrs and some ordinary ones, but that's the story at most clubs, Ward's looking OK and IMHO Ben Hart was our best player last year, even bettr than the Magarey Medalist, so I don't think that's the issue.

Surplus midfielders? Send them this way, and any backmen too.

He'd have a big say in it but as much as Im not a big fan of the bald one I wont lay the blame of recruiting solely at his feet, just like I wont give him much credit for some of our good recruiting in recent years, moreso others in Admin roles at the club.

Who was the North staffer ( Elliot or Moore)that circulated the note of players that were "under the microscope" to Danny Ryan at Greenacres. This led Danny to ring one of them asking him if he wanted a game at Greenies. Problem was, this player didn't know anything about being on the "cut list"
Players listed included Walker, Schubert, Coulter, Ladhams, O'Hara and others.

A great way to get players off side and a fairly dumb way to do business, I would have thought. I thought North had their shit sorted out but this reaffirms that isn't the case.

Incidentally, my understanding is the list contained 16 names. Must be a very strong club if they can turnover that number of players in the blink of an eye!

Well do the North fans a favor and tell them the rest of it. Don't continue to pay "lip service' to them or treat as mushrooms. if the hierarchy 'cocked up' as appears to be the case, they are accountable to their members. Elliott and Moore are not above the club, they are part of it. Stop the political spin and let out the facts, whether they implicate people or not!

The list contained names of a number of players but some were on it based on what the players may do personally next season not whether the club would off load them - a number of players have indicated to the club they may not go on next year. For example Ladhams when he signed last year for one more year was always going to retire at the end of the season. I agree those sorts of documents / list should not be bandied about.

I understand one of the players who's name may have not been on the list (but have just been informed it was by one good source) but who had quit (or had decided to quit as a result of this list and being dropped) had sought the help from two others to "access" a room at the club to confirm the list and hence why the 3 have been suspended - technically 2 because 1 had already quit!

Incidentally, in the position that Moore holds, a few years back when some players were to be cut from the training squad post Xmas, a certain club in the Mallee league were given names before the event also. The President of that league rang me to get some info on a couple ofthe named players. Who gave him that info, I wonder!!

Not good from a supposed professional club but considering the Football Manager has strong ties with a Mallee League club are you really suprised!

It doesn't matter who is allegiance may be with. This is unprofessional in every respect and he should have been accountable for the action. North Adelaide, like every League club has many clubs within their zone, I reckon the Mallee league and in particular Karoonda footy club is in Westies zone.
