Cubillo left North because North would not guarantee that he would be played in the mid field or on ball, where he feels is his best chance of being noticed by AFL scouts. Sturt gave him the assurance that he will play in his prefered positions.
Cubillo does not want to play in defence.
It will be interesting to see where he does end up playing.

I thought he had left for more $$$ or am I wrong ???

According to the board at the AGM, a bit of both BB. He said he wasn't going to play in defence and wanted a flank position.

I really hope souths young guns can hit the ground running.IT is hard to know how they will go until the start of season 2008.
Most people, even panther fans have written off this coming season.I am a bit more optamistic and honestly believe we will not finish bottom, and may not be far from making the five.
Remember our reserves team made the GF last season, and there are quite a few talented youngsters in the squad. If they can succesfully make the transitition to the league team this year a few of you may be surprised. 'DONT WRITE US OFF YET'

I'd never write off a team with someone like Jack leading them ... So much unknown at this stage of the year and personally I don't subscribe to the theory of anyone having a mortgage on the spoon.

What do you base this on LEH. Although we have lost some experience I think we picked up some quality recruits who will be more than handy replacements.

Totally true, was just happy Ginever played 8 or so kids from the 2's yesterday in the second half and they held on to win

We've been in alot of grand finals of late & i'd expect alot higher than 4th from the eagles.
If any of our supporters were happy in settling for 4th, i'd be pi##ed off.
Some supporters are content with getting to a grand final & couldn't give a sh!t coming 2nd.
Its one thing that must change, accepting bridesmaid honours.

Never accept coming second and i hate my beloved Eagles losing any game.If you have known me you would all know that.
But finishing third was probably better than where WWT should have finished last year.Certain teams falling over helped greatly .
Not being unbiased I would say between 3rd and first .I think holding onto some of WWT GF stars last year held the team back a bit due to their lack of pace and injury problems .I hope the new guys go as well as the guys they are replacing.

I would not go by the Trial games guys some very good eagles players sitting in front of me last week. Some of last year seconds players played in the league team and some very good juniors played in the seconds .Take note the seconds won last week .

LoudEagleHooligan you used to yell out for vinnie I predict you will be yelling Jack jack jackie before the year is out .IMHO he was kept on a tight rein the last two weeks .Watch for him to star up forward.

I wished I shared your confidence grant....

Don't know about the GF but I am quietly confident about making teh five and showing improvement 3-5.

Well not got the first time I'm wrong again...based on end of the minor round
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
