Hmmm, interesting stuff.

I thought the Ginever experiment was worth a shot as Tim had played footy with Jack as coach for many years and understood a lot already.

Will be interesting to see if the know-how can be passed on to "the outside" successfully.

Looks like my mail was pretty close to the mark.

Small flames starting to emerge from the smoke with this one Ian!!

Expect an announcement next week confirming this one. Jack will be the senior coach for 2-3 years but also mentoring a former player who will take the reigns similar to the Ginever strategy. There will be a massive shakeup of the club in all departments according to my source. The ride will be an interesting one......

I like it. Sounds good to me......bring back jack!!

Cant wait, I think he will be a "God send" for South!!

Bring it on, if it's true.

I was going to say "we could do worse", but let's face it... we HAVE done worse. FOR YEARS.

The idea of "2 coaches" - ie, Cahill mentoring an assistant that will take over has a lot of merit to me.

Id like to see the players take on Cahill like they did they last coach/es. I wonder who would win that battle!!!

I expect Mick Moylan to be named as Cahill's assistant if Jack is appointed

If it is Cahill, then why has there been such a delay. It's not like they needed to wait for his other coaching commitments to finish up.

Surely if they had a name as big as Cahill they would announce it sooner rather than later.

I will stake my reputation on the fact that Jack will not be the next coach at South...

Southee, good to see that you're alive and well.

Well, you masterminded Pyman's dismissal so I would not be at all surprised if you have had a fair bit to do with getting Jack.

Look forward to seeing Monday whether your prediction is true...

This should read "South offered the job at John Cahill".

I am not a Port supporter but South "offering" John Cahill (legend) anything is an insult.
