Be interesting to hear the thoughts of the Adelaide Crows supporters who go to SANFL games.
Oh, hang on...

I reckon, when we had 'proper' crowds, I heard that almost every week.

It never got that far, if you stepped out of line at Alberton some old duck would belt you in the bonce with her brollie, that was enough to settle most arguments :D

I havent been to many sanfl games tbh. Just comenting as a nuetral supporter on saturday. Enjoyed the game and the banter.
Thought the continual abuse to butcher, mitchell, warrior, etc was a bit over the top but i understand these are passionate supporters and when you put them all together they get a bit more courage (not the right word) . Loved the atmosphere in the 2nd half and the cheering off after the game.

For sure, it's been said plenty of times, but without question the amount of times some upstart little punk has offered to help me with my car in recent outings has certainly increased.

The level of abuse has certainly increased, not so much the amount of it but the level proposed is on the up. Richmond Oval was a real treat.

Funny you should say that. My Grandmother back in the day hit a Norwood trainer over the head with her brollie at Norwood Oval.

Try every quarter - growing up watching Glenelg every week home & away was an education in life of sorts.
I had the best sayings/sledges in early high school, all learnt from the hill/terraces at SANFL grounds - much to many of my teachers chagrin.

They certainly didn't take to me counting back year by year to 1983.

2014 - Norwood
2013 - West. No it wasn't West, Norwood.
etc etc

My great-Aunt pulled a blokes bowler hat down over his ears at Adelaide Oval one day, ripped the rim of the hat off in the process and threw her bag of Minties at him.

Yep my Granny brollied some bloke in the crowd once that had been getting into my pop whilst he was playing. :D

Well...there it is, less abuse, more brollies needed at SANFL games.

Back in the sixties my old man was a sprigger with South and had been getting whacked with a crutch by some guy behind the fence at Elizabeth all day through the 2s and into the league. Eventually he'd had enough, grabbed it off him and threw it onto the ground! Wish I'd been around to see that!

What's this got to do with Port reserves?
BTW I do go to Westies games and I am a Crows supporter

I've mentioned this on here before, but

20 years ago some old Granny leant over the fence of the Alberton Bowling club and belted me over the head and told me to watch my language as a "Club official" after I gave Kevin "Arnie Schwarzenegger" Chambers a serve after he gifted Doreen Smith another free kick

Wasn't your grandma was it Boon given your family attachment to the Alberton Bowling club on match days????

It wouldn't have been my Great-aunt, no. She rarely attended games after the late 70's through health and various reasons.

My Mum at that time would have been early 50's, so not likely her.

I would, however, love to meet the lady in question to congratulate her.

Because, in discussing the Port reserves, it was suggested that abuse/vitriol directed at supporters/players of AFL clubs has grown.
Yes, you are a Westies supporter, but are you a supporter of the SANFL Adelaide Crows?

Not really. Never been to one of their games unless playing Westies.
