Crikey kiddies, play all of them and leave the ruckmen and wingmen home, its only Western Australia, we'll cream 'em!
Normally Id want as small amount of North players playing as normal but with the bye next to the state game (bit rough after copping Rd 1 also) itll be good to see some of our team have a hitout.
Hopefully Darel Hart will maintain his excellent record as state coach.

IN all honesty, even as a Doggies supporter, Jason hasn't had the greatest start to the year form wise. He proved his worth last year come finals time and was rewarded accordingly with the Jack Oatey medal for his form late last year.

With Jonathon Griffin dominating the ruck in the early games, Buckets hasn't needed to stamp his authority on games as much as has been needed in the past. Jon Giles certainly stepped up last week and while Jason hasn't been playing terribly, IMO, his form hasn't warranted state squad selection.

I have seen every other sides play so far this year and for mine, the form ruckman of the comp to date (that's not an AFL listed ruckman and eligable for State selection) has probably been Cain Ackland from North but he wasn't even in the initial squad. I agree with Warren Partlands comments on Inside 50 this morning that Craig Parry is probably a tad lucky to be picked but did play in the side last year, as did Brad Dabrowski from the Eagles.

Behind Ackland, James Mieklejohn from Port Magpies has been in pretty good touch and justifiably is in the squad. If I were picking the final 21, I would defibnately have Mieklejohn starting in the 22 and probably at this early stage, take Parry over Dabrowski just. Will be very interesting to see the 2 ruckman SA coach Darel Hart makes his final decision on.

So other than Centrals, every other team is shite based on your expert summary if you refer to the past decade? If that is not smacking of arrogance???

To complete the football lesson Sturt won a flag in 2002. Eagles won a flag in 2006.

Ask the more succesful clubs like Norwood and port what they have achieved this decade. They will confess it is bugger all just like the NAFC.

I guess it must be hard when your only highlight for the last 18 years is an 11 goal flogging in a Grand Final to the CDFC. ;)

Shall we discuss the last 50 years then UK Fan?

In that time Centrals spent 40 years wandering around wondering what the hell they got into.

Your arrogance and attempt at humour using North as the subject only reinforces my opinion on your posting style. Trolling at best and rarely produces anything that enhances the debate.

Some corrections, Mr Boon.

Dogs won a flag after 36 years, the decade prior to that we were well aware of what we were doing. So for 26 years we were wondering what the hell we had got ourselves into... ;)

No problems, make it 26 instead of 40. The rest of my post I stand by.

More than happy to discuss Booney.

We struggled for the first 36 years whilst telling the comp in that time "once Centrals win one flag there is no way you will be able to stop us"

In 2000. We won our first flag and have "surpisingly" dominated ever since.

Kind of the complete opposite to what has happened to Port Adelaide Magpies is the best way to describe it i guess.

Port fans calling others arrogant. How the times have changed. Jealousy is a curse. ;)

I am no longer surprised by this. He obviously isn't rated by many people outside of westies.

Think you'll find he's highly rated by most SANFL fans mate ... Surprising he hasn't received a berth yet, particularly given the versatility he's shown this year

That's right, now I remember, between celebrating Premierships and gaining an AFL licence I do seem to recall a Centrals fan telling me once they won one that nobody would be able to stop them...
