Can I throw my 2 cents into this argument gentleman...
Yes, I think North Adelaide's web site is by far one of the best out of the 9 teams, very imformative and interactive...
Norwood (along with Sturt's) is one of the worst IMO and I do frequent most clubs web sites once or twice a week...
Wedgie, I reckon your club is probably the only one that has their crowd figures posted, which I think is a good idea...
But, there is an error on that page (sorry, couldn't help myself !!). The crowd figure shown for the game against Centrals in round 5 is no doubt correct, but the venue is listed as Hamra Homes Oval, but it was in actual fact, played at Adelaide Oval, on Anzac Day. I suppose in fairness, this game was originally scheduled to be played out at Elizabeth but both clubs agreed to change it to the city location to help lift the crowd figures, giving diggers who marched that morning, an opportunity to go to the footy in the afternoon. Not having a dig, just pointing something out. I think whatever information can be obtained from any of the clubs websites is a bonus because I guess we have to be appreciative and thankful that there is even a site to view at all. I would assume most, if not all of them, are run and maintained by volunteers.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand, I was a bit dissapointed to read on another thread that the North v Centrals game at Prospect in a few weeks was to be the scheduled ABC broadcast game but it has since been changed to Norwood and Sturt at Unely I think. I was looking forward to Centrals having a game on TV because they have been few and far between in 2008. In fairness, I'm pretty sure our game v Sturt at Unley next week is on the box, justifiably as it should be a ripper, and I guess with a few teams improving this year, we need to spread the telly games out a bit more.
