Certainly not something the dogs are used to, changing a side based on AFL changes. That could be unsettling.

Hmm couple of handy ins for both teams. I know the Bays are keen to see how Button goes as a tall defender should be a great game and a great test for my Boys.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Yeah im starting to think having Westoff and Symes both back in may not be as big an inclusion as it looks on paper. Symes will more than likely play three quarters at most IMHO, and Westoff is seriously lacking confidence which won't immediatly come back just beacause his in the SANFL.

My biggest worry is that both these players haven't played under the Dogs structure once this year, and may need a couple of games to get use to playing with the Dogs. It would be good if we could qualify them though for finals.

what i will say though is that with the ins and out of both Central and Glenelg for tommorows game, that no matter what the result win, loose or draw this will be no guide to base who would win if they meet each other in the finals.

For my mind Central are missing there two biggest impact most important players (Callian, C.Gowans) plus have the inclusions of two AFL listed players (Symes, J.Westoff) who haven't played for the club this year and probably won't have come finals.

While Glenelg have their two best backmen out (Sherwood, Mules) and have a gun forward (Grima) returning from injury who could be excused for being a little out of touch.

I think that role has been given to Dangerfield. Could be mistaken though.

Hey Footy Fans,

For those who are interested and haven't read the paper, here is our reserves side for tomorrow's clash with the Tigers. There are a few quality INS as well as a couple of curious OUTS...

RESERVES:
Baldwin, Barmby, Boyle, Brading, Cole, Cowan, Duncan, Hadden, Hudson, Kelly, McGrath, Moss, McShane, Officer, Porter, Sharpe, Shaw, Spurr, Whiley, Woods

From what I can see, there is only 20 players named in the reserves side but bear in mind there is still 2 league listed players to come into this team off the extended league bench.

I would assume that out of Mackenzie, Ware, O'Hara, McCabe and Goodrem named on that league bench, Brayden O'Hara and Trent Goodrem will find themselves unluckily playing reserves ( * )

Assuming I'm correct, this will be the changes to the Reserves side that beat South 2 weeks ago:

INS:
Brading (back from a slight knee strain, missed 3 weeks)
Boyle (Power rookie back from hamstring strain, missed 4 weeks)
Officer (Only 2 game back in return to club, back from arm injury I believe)
Spurr (A little bit unlucky to be ommitted from League side, too many good ins)
Goodrem* (would have to assume that he will 1 of 2 possibly ommitted from league side)
O'Hara* (great debut season but probably going to be ommitted from league side)

OUTS:
White (for mine, really unlucky to be ommitted especially with no Aufderheide, named in U/19's)
Aufderheide (can only assume he is injured again, unfortunatley, surely Jezza wouldn't be dropped ?)
McGee (improving youngster who is either ommitted or maybe injured as he is not named in U/19's ?)
Edwards (like McGee, improving youngster but ommitted accordingly, was also named in U/19's)
Foldesdy (like Edwards, improving youngster but ommitted accordingly, was also named in U/19's)
Cole* (although named to play, 1 more to has to come out, so will probably play for Barossa Districts ?)

That's a pretty good looking reserves line up but let's just hope that that many changed do not unsettle the side, like mentioned on another post. Really looking forward to tomorrow, hopefully the rain stays away and we get a really good crowd out to Hamra Homes...

GO U DOGGIES...

Should be a good game between the two ( i think ) grand finalist's, no Callinan & C Gowans but Westhoff & Symes in would be handy additions, this is the test for Glenelg & i think they are up to it even at dogland.
