the leading VFL coach (Brad Gotch, Willy) is very unavailable.

They haven't lost a game, and his full time wage is paid for by the Western Bulldogs.

Also works as an Asst. Coach to the Dogs if available.

So move along, nothing to see there.
He's still my hero even if he is a little bit crap.

Hmm I know all about what he did but serioulsy cannot post on here because it would be quite explosive. I'm suprised the Eagles bothered to take him on.

Someone at North mentioned he might be a likely candidate but I would rather have Darel Hart back than see Jeffries ever be in charge of anyone at North!

If the Eagles were to gamble big time on Rogers , we would need to sign him along with the great man , Don King , to add a personality ( media interviews , player peptalks etc. ) . The guy couldnt get kids excited about going to a lolly shop ! Pyman & H amilton is the level we must start at if we are looking to strive for excellence in all areas ie. Recruiting , afl knowledge & tactics etc. The whole club needs total re energising , only a strong character would be capable .Dreamers need not apply ! Mickyj you know what I mean , right ?

I reckon Robert Pyman would be a good fit at the Weagles...

Reckon Ronnie's time is running out... Time for a fresh face and new ideas...

Hell yeah I know what you mean Holden .In my earlier reply I was not having a go at Pyman just showing him some respect for his little girl.Mind you I have not forgiven him for that missed goal against Norwood.
Rogers is to nice a guy to be a footy coach.
Eagles need someone with a bit of mongrel along with AFL knowledge and tactics . And someone who can go through the club with a new Broome just like Blight did at the CROWS.

Was just throwing that around and seeing if it stuck .After watching the state game not sure I really want a VFL coach. Just someone who can take control and push the eagles if need be to a flag again!!

Don't be surprised if a certain Eagles assistant replaces Ron Fuller when his contract expires at the end of the year.

I wont drop his name and my first guess was no way .But he could add that extra bit of mongrel that the Eagles need in the coaching box!!
Having said that Paul Hamilton and family were watching the game yesterday.
All of this is will only happen if it is in fact Ron's last year.

Maybe he's a changed man, had massive issues with self discipline a few years ago. I hope he has.

Judging by the fact that Roy Laird was spotted heading off to Melbourne with a series of Centrals staff on the weekend, one would suggest they were off to have a look at some Victorian players, and he will be back on board next year. Business as usual.

Was aparently at the North Ballarat game, might have been keen to have a chat to former Centrals player (and member of the 2003 premiership) Eddie Sansbury. I wouldn't be suprised if Eddie gets delisted by the Kangaroos at season's end and it would be nice if he decided to come back and play for the Dogs if he didn't get re-drafted. Also, might have caught up with Nathan Grima, just to say that if North Melbourne don't give him another chance on their list next year, after missing all this year with a knee reconstruction in pre season, that the door down at Centrals is always open for him. Who knows, might even be able to get his Gleleng brother Todd out to the Ponderosa ???

I hope Roy and granty were keeping an eye out for key defensive players as I reckon that is one area where we can be exposed, despite having the best defence in the league. With an ageing on ball brigade as well, McCabe, Gowans x 2 and Sladey possibly retiring at seasons end, they might want to keep an eye out for a qulity ruck rover or two. I for one, was a little dissapointed with our recruting for '08, or more so lack of it (with all due respect to the players we did recruit this year) but it sounds like the coaching staff are on the front foot for season 2009.

Might have some interest thrown his way for an AFL assistant role, especially if we win the flag again this year, assuming he has an interest in furthering his career to the highest level ???

I'd be more than happy for him to be happy to stay with Centrals and the SANFL if he has no desire to head off to the big league ???
