Sturtpeter wegded himself between the Life FM team in the grandstand and the Snouts Louts and entertained all with his clever and accurate views for the first half of the game. Unfortunately I moved position in the second half.

He was doing special comments for Life. His voice is only marginally better suited to radio than, say, Tony McGuinness; and his comments were mostly about Sturt players, but I s'pose this is to be expected. Mostly I thought he gave a pretty good insight with the comments he made. Would be worth getting him back behind the microphone.

I think you conveniently forgot that Glen Asst Coach Jon Symonns joined us briefly pre-game, half time and post game just to balance up the insight a bit. Our thanks to Jon, it was great to have a coaches input that close to the game.

from the first bounce, it was all bays, they just kept us at an arms length all day. listening to the radio, it seemed like they pressured the midfield of the blues to cough it up and they ran hard into the forward lines with quick ball movement.

I think we didnt play that well which is a credit to the bays. Biut sturt will bounce back from this loss.

the bays beat us at our own game.

well done to glenelg, i knew they would be an improver this year and deserve some respect this season.

bring on the eagles next week, while one hoodoo sprouts (the bays) lets hope we can end one this weekend.

go the blues!!!

Well done to Glenelg and all punters that got there on the day and stayed till the end with heavy rain threatening. the Bays were disciplined, plenty of players around the ball and backing each other up. Sturt allowed opposition players far too much room especially around the stoppages, looking forward to seeing the Blues bounce back against WWT, and it will be interesting to see how Glenelg go against centrals.

Great win to the bays. After the first 10 mins I didn't really feel that confident. If we'd come back and snatched it in the last quarter it would have been grand larceny! I reckon that if Fittock hadn't turned over the free awarded to Whiteman on the grandstand wing we could have been a real chance though...

Top effort by Chambers to boot 6 with the number of players he had to contend with and good to see Luke Crane racking up a heap of touches.

Unfortunately the Bays just ran harder, showed a greater intensity and took better advantage of their opportunities. Sturt lacked accountability and allowed players like Backwell and McConnell too much space.

Let's hope we get the attitude right for the game at Thebbie this weekend...

C'mon Blues!

SturtPeter is a shattered young dude.

Glenelg far too good for an undisciplined Double Blue line-up minus Pearce and the non-playing, PP emergency, Greg Bentley.

Crane outstanding, BOG for mine, yet Partland gave him 0 votes, similar to Williams and Co, for O'Keefe's 51 possessions at Richmond in 2006.

If that's the case why don't you explain why you think OCT speaks for all Sturt supporters?

here is a copy of sturtpeters post on another thread just for you sapaul

don't know. Probably the loss of Pearce and the non-playing emergency, Greg Bentley, (Shame Choco, Shame!!!) cost us about 7 goals.

I hope Norwood show their loyal faithful on May 9th. they're an appropriate SANFL team.

Go Norwood!
