Jarred was very much a required player and his decision to quit had nothing to do with the culture of our club or his value as a player, simply a more lucrative offer. Jarred has now signed with North Adelaide Football Club after negotiating a transfer fee.
After more than 10 years of investing time and development into Jarred both on and off field as a person and a footballer, the WWTFC is disappointed with this decision. We now move forward as a Club and continue to strive for success in 2018 with a fully committed and united playing group.

If thats the case it says something about his character and you are better off without him.
South have been in the same boat more than once over the last few years..........................

Thats what I reckon If you dont want to play for the Club that has looked after your interests for 10 years then piss off

Yeah, not like he gave them 10 years good service

That'll narrow the gap between North and Sturt

Sounds like we had our eyes on Zerk-Thatcher for awhile. Apparently was playing as a ruck forward earlier in the season and Essendon recruiters mentioned to Sturt that they should try him down back. He was moved down back and and had a really solid season and Essendon kept in regular contact with him and Sturt

So your putting more creditability into the SANFL being a development league where AFL clubs can ask to see players in different roles. :)

North certainly will have a better looking group in 2018, Allmond is a very good looking man and if you don't believe me just ask him. ;)

must have happened a while ago, as i believe he got married in QLD over the week. Last time he wore red and white he won a premiership

That’s the strange thing he was announced as signing with the Eagles in October
Then signs with North in October

But end of the day shit happens
No good years later worrying over players that move on for another team .
I’ve seen the posts on here about Sturt and the Eagles both going after Eddy
No idea if it’s just someone looking for a bite
Just think if he goes to Sturt or the Eagles
South fans will complain for years of being raped by which team signs him

Eagles only have them self to blame! I know Jarred very well and when talking to him about this he was extremely disappointed that eagles wouldn't offer him more then a one year deal when it came to his contract talks. North Adelaide engaged and offered him a nice 3 year deal which will see him playing his 150th and 200th league game in the Red and White. At the end of the day you've gotta look after yourself and your future and that's what Jarred has done.

Not sure how long the contract offers usually are at the Eags, are they all on one-year contracts? That's what the Dogs do, and North tempted Alan Obst away from the Kennel with a 3 year contract. The Dogs wouldn't budge from their 12 month offer.
Look at how Karma bit .... Obst didn't see out his second year.

More of a karma nibble that one. Probably did the Dogs a favour.

Knuckey Cup winner Brede Seccull returning home to Victoria to Sandringham in the VFL, big loss for South.

What absolute shite GIDDYUP. He actually SIGNED his contract must have been reasonably happy. If he played well he would obviously been offered another contract, really don't think he had too much to worry about. WHY did he sign then!!!!!!!!!

Not so much why did he sign but why did the Eagles just let him walk?
