The Glenelg Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Corey Lyons for season 2022.

Corey is a highly skilled ball winner who has the ability to find space around the contest and will provide our midfield with greater flexibility.

Corey was drafted to Brisbane Lions in 2016 from the Sandringham Dragons. Lyons was selected in the NEAFL Team of the Year in 2019 following an undefeated season and premiership with the Brisbane Lions reserves. In 2021, he went on to play for the Aspley Hornets in the VFL.

Corey is looking forward to making the move to the Bay and is eager to take on season 2022.

“I am extremely excited about the opportunity to play for such a great club. When my girlfriend and I met the coaching staff, players and members of the board it struck us as a family orientated club and that stood out to me. I am very grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to get started,” he said.

We welcome Corey and his partner Eliza and look forward to their arrival in early December.

At this stage we have signed a key forward and a key defender.
The Club is choosing to announce re-signings of current key players first. It's a fair call.
And the 7 announced re-signings are probably our best 7 players from 2021.
At this stage we haven't lost one player who the coaching staff would have in their best 22.

It's just extremely frustrating that We won't publicly announce Our new signings.

We need a lot more than that, at least another key defender ,definitely a ruckman and a goal kicking mid would be a start .

We need some solid mids for sure.
That's where footy is won or lost , a strong midfield means more opportunities for the forwards

That's great Northerner but we did finish 2nd to bottom again .
So I hope they have more than that coming.

Nice family connection with brother Jarryd playing at the Bays, prior to the AFL Reserves entering the SANFL competition.

Any truth to the latest facebook rumour Chris Jansen to Norwood.

Would be a massive step backward for us if true.

Would depend on why he's going to Norwood,
if true would probably be solely based on a business decision.

Ok, to give some hope I can let you know that unofficially We have signed up Zac Beuchner from Clarence, a full back,
plus a bloke from The Riverina by the name of George Kendall, he's about 194cms & 22 years old, a key forward.
Once again, nothing official until after the draft in 2 weeks from now.

Not a step backwards, he hasn't left Us to go to Norwood.

It is disappointing that Jansen is heading to Norwood ,always seems to be a problem recently for us to get players to come back to us apart from Boyd it doesnt happen often.

Former Crows, South and St Kilda ruckman Paul Hunter has signed with VFL club Port Melbourne.

So there will be no homecoming for the former Panther.

The North Adelaide Football Club are pleased to announce the addition of Liam Hoy for the 2022 season.

Liam Hoy joins the Roosters from Sydney AFL Club UNSW Bulldogs. Liam is a developing ruckman who stands 205cm tall, who has good aerial ability and ruck craft. Liam has big potential and is looking to test himself in the SANFL competition. Liam is keen to get to Adelaide and get to work with his new teammates in preparation for the 2022 season. We are excited by what Liam offers on the field and we look forward to watching him develop in our program under the guidance of our coaching staff.

Senior Coach Jacob Surjan;
“Liam is a Sydney lad with an NRL back ground. He has been playing football for 7-8 seasons now and started his football journey in the Swans Academy. Liam is an aggressive ruckman with huge upside. His ability to mark the ball around the ground is very good and his ruck craft for someone who hasn’t had a lot of development is very impressive. A big man with a big personality, Liam will add a lot of value to our football Club.”

We would like to welcome Liam and his family to North Adelaide and we look forward to watching him represent the Roosters in season 2022.
