I posted on FootySA last year, that I felt a 10th team would logically be from Mt Barker (if a 10th team was in fact added). As for recruitment zones, the SANFL would simply need to conduct a thorough study of demographics of the whole state, & divide it up by ten. Imo tho, the facts are that we don't have 9 teams in SA, we have 11. So to stretch that out to 12 may be pushing it, & would mean a lot more interstate recruiting (& the associated sledging that goes with it  ). You could argue either way with these points- a new team will bring new (local) supporters vs there's not enough growth to sustain a new club. For mine, a NT side will not work, & pursuing it is flogging a dead horse.

10 teams will work but this is the idea a team from Tea Tree Gully or Goldern Grove would get bums on seats because that is an area without a football team in adelaide. But country wise i would look at Mount Barker or rework the zone area's and bring in a team from Port Pirie, Port Augusta and Whyalla.
This idea would work If the SANFL wanted to go to 8 teams i feel that it is time to go Port Magpies. I don't care what their supporters say they got into the AwFuL they are having their cake and eating it too. It is because Max and his mates didn't have the Testicular Fortitude to get rid of Port when they made the AwFuL. T
he idea of an Interstate team would not work in the SANFL I fell that it will send the clubs broke. People could also say that Sturt and South should have merged when Woodville and West Torrens merged both Mergers would have made sense cause at that stage South hadn't done much and Sturt where about to have the great Wooden Spoon run.
