Now it appears that the holier than thou Eagles, who love to point out to the SANFL who's cheating the cap, have a net growth of players! Some of those players are on decent coin, perhaps, and they "lost" 2 players who weren't even on the books! (Watts & *chortle*Peel) So, perhaps the true count is +5? Now for a club with a holier than thou attitude (I've said it twice to reinforce what hypocrites they are), perhaps shifting the blame away from their own nest, so as to have some breathing space? Let's face it, they ain't gonna win a flag any other way!

PS Well done Punky, at least you created a topic that is obviously of interest despite me not agreeing with it. 1) Its up to 3 pages already hence my comment!
2) Definately smacks of trolling but at least he made a statment, backed it up with facts (dodgy facts but can be debated and have be debated, I myself disagreed with them), not to the degree of just abusing people because he disagrees with them while offering no facts or decent conversation on the matter.
3) I too agree with R&Bs summary and made this clear in the immediate post after it but at least I advised why I thought it was dumb instead of just being insulting.

Depends on people's idea of trolling I guess, I'd always thought it was in reference to non-regular users who jump on a site to denigrate it without any interest in using it as was intended .. In this instance regardless of Punkys objective with his post (and I'm not suggesting it's anything untoward mate) he's a regular contributor to the site with enough "runs on the board" that he shouldn't come under any consideration as a "troll"??

Central Districts (player count) -1
Glenelg -5
North Adelaide -3
Norwood neutral
Port Adelaide -4
South Adelaide -2
Sturt -2
West Adelaide -6

But your method as stated before does not take into account of the value of the player or what type of player or how good that particlar player is including games played, experiance and more.

That would have to be one of the dumbest posts i've seen. Face it you guys are paying over the cap, even if you aren't doing it South Adelaide style, even Port Adelaide people with brains admit that they look to be over the cap this year, so far all of the Roosters supporters are in denial, get your hands off it. You could've had only 5 recruits eg Port and still be over the cap for this year. Last time i checked the Salary cap goes on how much you pay, not on how many players you have gained/lost. Cheats.....As long as Port and North don't win the flag this year, i'll be happy.

You're right there, he'd was told he'd never play league footy again if he stayed at the Eagles.
I'm very glad we got him too as he was the difference between not winning a reserves premiership rather than come 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

I think his assessment is flawed by assuming all teams has used all of their salary cap last season.
There is no rule in the sanfl which states you must spend a minimum of 90% of your salary cap like the afl.

If that's the case then my opinion would be that North are in the shit.

I'm not sure how I'm in denial, but according to you ALL Roosters supporters are in denial, I've also checked with my two kids and I can assure you they're not in denial as they have no idea about the salary cap. I can assure you neither they nor my kids have their hands on it especially my daughter. If your comment was in regard to all of the Rooster supporters on this site only or in this topic only then you've still shown how ignorant you are with my post of 8 days ago quoted for you in a response to salary cap rules.

I just went back through this topic and the only people who even mentioned North and the salary cap was my good self and a Glenelg supporter, this topic was about people who should not be throwing stones (in this case some Eagles supporters), obviously one sconned you in the head!
