I don't know any footballer alive who plays to lose.

I don't reckon anyone here is inferring that the playing group or the coaching staff are throwing any games.

How much they experiment with the line up and load the players up with extra training may just impact the ability of those players to win the game though.

Well you'd think Griffen will go up for sure now as the Crows have suspended Huddo.

Will be a few changes this week for the Dogs. As Wedgie has said, Griffin to replace Hudson in the Crows. Symes may be recalled to the Power and maybe Giles as well, if Brogan doesn't make it.
I'm expecting a close game and this is a real danger game for the Dogs.

Weatherley got suspended for 1 game but we're expecting Damon White back to replace him.
Look, even by some fluke North do win it wont make much difference in the bigger picture.
Despite winning by less than a goal under lights at Elizabeth last year (still the only team to do that) we were a 5 goal better side than the Dogs that night.
That didn't help us much come finals time, mind you we did have closer to a full strength team at Elizabeth than we did in the finals.

This game will be a beauty. Probably just as much action off the ground than on the ground.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Hmmm, now, now, sturt1, what ever do you mean? Action off the ground could mean several things.
1) People will be levitating,
2) People will be rooting on the terraces,
3) VIOLENCE ON THE OUTER!!!!!, or,
4) All of the above.
Please now, everyone, will it be 1, 2, 3 or 4?
I'd like to know well in advance, so that I can prepare. Do I
1) Take drugs & join in the mass-levitation,
2) Rock up naked with a jar of "keep-it-up-cream" tucked under my armpit,
3) Attend the local footy as per normal, or,
4) Take drugs, take a can of "Largo" & experience a typical winter Saturday arvo with the lads, whilst constantly looking over my shoulder for the Filth?

Giles missed the last round didn't he? In any case he wouldn't be called up to the power unless about 5 other blokes fall over as well! I suspect Pfitzner might get called up to play in the ruck before Giles if Giles missed the last game.

Giles hasn't played in the last couple of games due to injury, No doubt Pfitzner will come in for Griffin IF the crows select him. Talk on various news stations was that Messen may get his chance this week before Griffin.

I personally would like to see Griffin go up, which would give Pfitzner a chance at league level, he is very versatile and good around the ground, you never know when we may need him come finals.

or 5) Shave your head & join Ponno & myself in some sort of ruck! (more'n likely against the filth!)

Not too many close ones at Prospect in that time either. The last game being an exception.

I fear it will all change this weekend, not confident at all.

So that makes the outs Wilson, Haddin Slattery(injured) and Griffen
Wilson might still be carrying an injury.
Haddin is very unlucky, looked fairly comfortable playing in the league, but burnt the ball under pressure a few times last week.
Slattery has played some great footy and will be a big loss for the next few weeks, hopefully will be right come finals.

Ins are Giles, Williams, L. Westhoff, and Dutschke.

No need to be a smartar5e then D4E...

Dogs were completely shagged today, time on in the second showed it as did the entire second half.

Biggest positive today was the debut of Williams, best number 35 for the dogs since Mark Prior (that I could recall anyway). Will enjoy watching his progress.

North were OK, but I didn't think they were great. Certainly better than the dogs today and deserved the win. For the faithful in the grandstands though, it wasn't the grand final. Just in case you were confused (it certainly appeared that way!).

Not long to go in the dogs extended training, will start enjoying the games more once that is done I am sure.

Congratulations to the cocks.

And an honourable mention to Colin Rowston, disgraceful effort today. Not blaming umps for the loss but this bloke needs to rethink what he does for a part time job. I hear Shell are looking for console operators on Saturday afternoons, go do that and leave our great game alone you useless douchebag. Couldn't umpire a game of scrabble.
