Lots of bitter people around on the board, get the posse out boys you only have about 60 other players in the league to organise the hangings for.
If at first you don't succeed , then destroy all evidence that you tried in the first place

DESPERATE = Norwood.

The deal with the Highlander is a great one for us and Norwood have turned around their off field position in a very short space of time.

Well done to the board.

It is great because you are desperate as were Sturt with their Castle Tavern deal but at least the have Bar Zar as a stand alone venue. Why would you go into a profit share with an objector - they would only enter into the agreement if it was in their favour so it is clear they had you over a barrel otherwise you would have ridden it out re the appeals. I don't think you will get anywhere near the income streams from it that some other clubs get from their current ventures.

Oh well, glad you think that. It'll make our recruting over the next few years much easier. A bit like K. McGuiness this year. :D

He does look alright I must admit and came with a reasonable wrap and I'm sure your club will benefit from the new income streams and spend more on recruiting once your debts are reduced and good luck to you.

You might have a much bigger pot of gold if you sell the NCC and buy a hotel, which is rumoured to be on the cards down the Parade so I am reliably told. Seems like the logical move given what the property is valued at compared to the steal of price you got it for. That might actually be the best business decision made by your board in a decade.

Given the story I was told the other day about how he finished up where he did I think we may have got one back on you for Ryswyck. :D

You win some and lose some but I can assure you we didn't fork out his airfare and accomodation for you to pinch him like we did to Norwood with Ryswyk! . Still with our current injuries he would be a reasonable addition to our current defensive line-up.

Sorry bud, but the profit share agreement for the Gaming Venue is perfect business sense ... %100 of $0 = $0 ... It's a decision that should have been made much much earlier imho.

No doubting there has been some unwise business decisions in the club's recent history (actually, truth be told our club has been littered with it even back to the 70's), but this agreement isn't one of them.

We can all see through the negative Skipworth comments on this thread. Very Clearly, many North supporters are still a bit cut up about losing the prelim final last year. And before you talk up Campbell too much, remember he has only played a few games and is only playing for the Kangaroos. Wedgie, I reckon we could both get a game for the roos.

I reckon Campbell will do ok.

Campbell , Davey from South and Pearce from Sturt all have good skills and are as quick as lightning.

Whilst they were good at Sanfl Level , I think their size and more importantly pace is more suited for the AFL.

In the AFL its all about pace and space. Give those lads the ball and some open paddock and they will cut teams up.

Sanfl lots more body contact and slower, tighter game , usually saw those lads go in and out of games.

Now let's see. A club that exists only because of the geographical quirk of being based in Melbourne, propped up only by the largesse of the AFL's insistence on a 16 team competition. A club mired in mediocrity for the vast majority of it's existence, think Glenelg for yer local equivalent, enlivened only by a bout of cheque book brilliance in the seventies and a Carey led revival for a miniscule period of the nineties. A club with little tradition other than a 'Shinboner' spirit based almost entirely on the ability to turn up again the next week after being royally belted the week before. A club that is techically insolvent with a dysfunctional board who can't stand the sight of one another. James freakin' Brayshaw. Need I go on?

I really don't give a toss for the AFL but I really HATE the Kangaroos. That they exist while proud clubs from outside of the VFL struggle along in obscurity really sh*ts me to tears.

He means the Kangaroos are shite, but I dont agree. Skipworth in my opinion was a very much treated in the same way as Ladhams and both should still be part of the Crows. Crumbing goalkickers, hard at the footy is what the Crows dont have. Would love to have had them both at Sturt.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

pearce was fantastic for sturt and, if not taken by the power, would have played for many years and many games.

he was very consistent for us and fast becoming a star at afl level, hence being taken.
