ANZAC Day double header with grand finalists playing the main game for the trophy and medal etc with 3rd v 4th as the curtain raiser great idea IMO, if the games are to continue at Adelaide Oval.
Trust the process.

I normally get an email from the SANFL on a Tuesday / Wednesday morning with the numbers from the previous round and an accumulative total...

Apologies for the delay, @Dutchy I didn't get an email last week, regarding the listening numbers...

The Stats wrote:Date Match Listeners
24-03-16 Norwood v Port 3060
25-03-16 Central v North 2952
26-03-16 West v Adelaide 2481

03-04-16 Glenelg v West 2303
03-04-16 South v Eagles 2191

09-Apr Port v North 2673
10-Apr South v West 2034

17-Apr West v Sturt 1393
17-Apr Eagles v North 1269
22-Apr Norwood v Sturt 1657
25-Apr West v Eagles 1480
01-May South v Adelaide 3738
01-May Sturt v Port 1422

Total 28,653
Average 1968.6

So, these numbers are pretty good, from what I have been told...

The 3,738 that listenend to the South v Crows game is a record for the SANFL since they've been streaming via Mixlr...

Nothing to compare to with the RPH in the past because the station never participated in a survey to get an indication of listener numbers...

I'm pretty happy with those numbers...

Is that connections per game? So if someone logged on to listen 20 times it would count as 20 connections?

Thanks Phil, dramatically dropping away in recent weeks, wonder why that is.

I would presume the stats would be smart enough to pick up the IP address/device so it doesn't double up the statistics.

I wouldn't. Many people have the same IP addresses as others, some have static, some have roaming.
I'd guess/hope the numbers would be accurate for unique listeners for people with static IPs but doubt this wouldnt be the case with roaming IP addresses. Log in four times with different IP nos and it would probably count as 4 unique listeners.

In part, would be to do with a few technical issues with equipment and dropping out for periods of time...

At Unley on the weekend, it looks like we were off air for about 30 minutes so that would have some effect on the numbers...

The numbers for the South v Crows game were great and helped bump up the average, for sure, but all in all, they look to be good numbers...

At the end of the day, this was all put together with 2 weeks to spare from the season starting, due to the RPH last minute decision, so whilst there have been some teething issues and gremlins in the system, it has been better than nothing at all...

Again, at the risk of sounding like a broken down record, some form of coverage is better than no covergae at all...

I think the blame sits with the SANFL not RPH

In the end, that is how it eventuated, yes...

But not through the fault of the station...

Not saying the bame is on RPH, what I was referring to is that because a decision was made for RPH not to call in 2016 so late in the piece, it meant there was very little time to get the streaming up and running from a personell and, more importantly, equipment perspective...

2 weeks wasn't much time...

Especially when the initial discuissions for all this were initiated back in October last year...

Some feet were certainly dragged, somewhere...

SANFL should have been making sure RPH were locked in 2 months prior to the season, not 2 weeks. I guess the coffee cups were more important.
