The league directors and the SANFL hierachy needs to hold them accountable re the lies about developing the Academy players where the truth is the development is done by the SANFL clubs e.g. the issues Kris Grant raised plus the issues the NAFC are having re Keiran Agius and Port trying to hoodwink him, keep him out of the NAFC system and claim his development. Selfish bunch of leeching cheats = PAFC!

Can you elaborate and/or direct me to any media or other reports where the Kris Grant issues and more particularly the Agius issues are discussed (I know nothing about them).

Warren Partland wrote an article in the Advertiser - maybe last weekend - re SANFL clubs developing juniors in there area and referred to Kris Grant as being a bit miffed that Port was being credited for developing Wayne Milera via there Academy, where as Centrals had him go through their junior set up over the last few years and this fact seemed to be lost within the AFL-centric media reporting.

Expect the League to release a sneak peek of the draw later this week, ahead of the full release in this coming Saturday's Advertiser.

Hearing there are a few changes from last season, including more rounds, less night games and more Sunday games...

Does 'more rounds' mean an earlier start or a later finish to the season? I didn't think the AFL would allow the latter.

More rounds to accommodate the March Good Friday start to the season......otherwise the GF is in mid August in line with last season's layout.

Ah, thanks heater.

GF in mid-August - shouldn't that be September?

If they kept last year's number of rounds it would be in Mid August I think. So no it won't be

I've been privvy to a sneak peak :

- All the sides will play each other
- Some of the games will be at your home ( excluding Adelaide ) ground
- Some will be at the other teams home ground ( excluding Adelaide )
- There will be some games on Friday night
- There will be lots of games Saturday after noon
- There might be a Saturday twilight game or two ( there might not be )
- There will be some Saturday night games
- There will be quite a few Sunday games
- There might even be one on a public holiday

It was all very exciting to look at, I'm just disappointed I can't share any more information with the rest of you. I guess you'll just have to wait for Saturday. ( It's like Xmas, I can barely sleep! )

I'd be as cynical as you if my club had been replaced by an AFL franchises reserves side too Booney.
Hang on, I am as cynical as you but its because my club is shit!

2 x Good Friday games in 2016 - Central vs. North in the arvo at Elizabeth and then South vs. Glenelg in the twilight game but not sure if it is at Bay or Artic Park?

North's second round could be interesting - we have Norwood.

More rounds,
I hope,
might mean we play footy in the 4 weeks we had no footy with byes split rounds or whatever they called it this year.
We live in hope though.

wont more rounds just mean split rounds dressed up differently? Or will there be more than 18 games each? Cant see the AFL sides playing on their bye rounds

Why not?
Surely the AFL doesn't set our SANFL program.
Surely the fair dinkum 8 original league clubs have a say on this matter.

Centrals season ticket paraphernalia would suggest the same amount of games as last year.

Not sure about Good Friday games.
Some players and supporters may have reasons for not being available.
One day in the year.
We must respect that.

That day is only important to a % of the population, to a fair chunk of people like myself it's a meaningless day and I actually look forward to going to the footy rather than being stuck home

I do see your point.
Either way fair enough.
If some players ain't available or followers don't turn up fair enough.
Can't see why it can't be played on the Saturday.
Small crowds at both games will be guaranteed IMHO.
I hate split rounds, what is the point and why?
Supporters simply don't go to more than one game in the SANFL in the same round.
Might get 1500 at Elizabeh.

I can't be arsed digging up the figures, but I reckon that the previous 2 years' South/Glenelg Good Friday games each had a healthy crowd in attendance.
